Can she at least watch Eileen for a few minutes? Her delivery is awful. She always seems clammy and breathy. Kristen is not a stereotypical TV mental institution bipolar woman, but that's how she plays her. I've said it before, but she's good on prime time... her approach surely should be more malleable.

I agree.

Honestly I like her Susan. LOL. It's her Kristen that needs work. I'm not saying she has to 'copy' Eileen but Eileen just has the entire 'vibe' of Kristen down pat. Stacy's Kristen feels so different.

Meanwhile, lol, I told all the Stacy stans to chill when it came out Eileen would be Kristen in Beyond Salem.

I'm glad Kristen is around for the possession 2.0. (though I'd prefer Eileen's Kristen for this, sorry not sorry) I assume this isn't a drive by?

Less crying, more scheming and less breathy psycho eyes

And sorry but I'll just never buy Kristen so madly in love with Brady Black. Eileen's Kristen would have laughed at him and taken Rachel and run.

And Eileen's Kristen has a far better wardrobe. I think more effort could be taken on Stacy's Kristen but they seem to want her to be this version of weepy, crying, madly in love with Brady and only goes psycho for plot purposes when Ron needs to write her out ...

@KMan101 100% SH will never be ED nor should she be. Except for her scenes with SS, the writing almost always make Kristen utterly unlikeable. Did they really have to have Kristen stab Victor to send her to prison? ED's Kristen would've never do something so basic.

The obsession with Brady/Chloe was insipid and insulting.

I hope Kristen is given an opportunity and decent material to play in MarDevil 2.0 since she was so important in 1.0. Plus, it would give Kristen a 'reform' opportunity.

SH as Susan is totally fine given the material. Honestly, SH does her best work as 'Kristen as Susan.' Having Susan on a couple of times a month since EJ is back would be plenty. As if Susan wouldn't be giving showbiz advice to Johnny....

LOL Susan with Johnny writes itself. Ron must have gotten distracted by MarDevil.

I agree she did a good job with 'Kristen as Susan'. She felt more like 'Kristen' at times to me. She's capable of giving me a Kristen I can be content with long-term if Eileen won't commit but the writing lacks and Stacy plays her *so* differently. I'd like something different because I think it could work.

Stacy did well with "Shoot The Bride" (even if it was a bit campier than Eileen's Kristen would have been) and even with the 'Kristen as Nicole' stuff. It's there. But they write FOR Eileen as Kristen. They don't write Stacy AS Kristen. If that makes *any* sense. I wish I could explain it better. They have (though I imagine Shoot The Bride was written with Eileen in mind)

The best scenario: ED returns for short arcs as Kristen. Keep SH as Susan - especially with EJ, Johnny and Dr. 'MarDevil' Evans - and maybe even limited times where 'Susan as Kristen' works to move story forward as during ED gaps. Certainly, Susan/Kristen teaming up via Kristen manipulation has been well-established.

For those who say 'Kristen has committed too many crimes' to be on canvas, Ben Weston says 'hi'

    • The only blonde I see is one of the actual women staring at first & then screaming & running later.  DAYS: Vivian's manservant Ivan is in a long curly red wig.

Y&R: long straight black wig is the actor Peter Barton whose character name I am blanking on.
    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
