Have I forgotten anyone?

Makes it hard to tell good story in cafes and hotel rooms.

I was hoping after the palazzo for an improvement in this area but no dice.

Is Elena still living in Lola's apartment upstairs from Crimson Lights? When was it last shown?

Sharon's cottage will return, there are spoiler pics of nuNoah there.

Yeah an interview with Peter Bergman confirmed they are not using the Jabot set.

Sally and Chloe were being shown working at Newman Media at one point. Did that stop?

They've been shown in the corridor and in Adam's office but not in a space of their own.

I'm going to include Phyllis, as wandering around the lobby of the Greasy Pelican doesn't count as a workplace.

Elena is till living above CL. She referenced it a few weeks ago,

I hate to be constantly wishwriting the show but imagine how this could be an actual character layer instead of a random bad line.
Billy is a late-in-life child who arrived after all his siblings had already achieved a lot in life so maybe he turns out to be overcompetitive and overaggressive to prove something.
It could be that his mother's fondness for Cane and sometimes weird detachment from him led him to overthink his current relationship with Lily and want to prove something to Jill and Lily.
Who knows?
They could make it a thing and have some interesting character drama out of it. And they could tell it all with the budget and sets they have! It could be all shown on-screen.
But no. It is just a bad line and a bad story and let's focus on random characters with stories that happen out of frame.

Since the wedding I have tuned out,  again relying on recaps and skimming through downloads  as there is NOTHING of interest going on.

The wedding was a bust. Taking a bunch of characters to  a new locale for a marriage where the groom is suspect and you would expect high drama. A murder? an attempted murder? Victoria turning on Ashland as she takes her vows? Ashland disappearing? Jack banging Phyllis?

An original character returning with a secret?

But no, just the usual conversations in a different setting. It was expected that a couple of new sets would keep us enthralled.

So after that it's back to more of the same in GC.

Poor Jack, no workplace, no family and now no home. Just wandering into frame on his cell phone surprised to once again run into Phyllis one sleeve and then devoting his time to listen to her self indulgent blather.

They should have saved the money from Tuscany to create some offices, populate the sets with extras and give the women some classy clothes.

Does Morina even watch the show? i'd be embarrassed to have my name in the credits as being responsible for this.

I’m actually quite liking these Phyllis/Nick scenes, to my pleasant surprise.

They feel very natural and real. Not overwritten and not generic.

These are probably my favorite scenes of JG’s entire tenure.

Who wrote the script today? I missed it.

    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
    • Thanks. I must have missed that period entirely for Lifetime.
    • Thanks. I know Marland did that type of thing sometimes but it's less likely with these characters. I don't even remember Alex ever mentioning him.
    • French fan summary Rusty took over Simon's job at Lewis Trucking after Simon transferred to Lewis Oil's North Carolina office to live near Jessie and Calla. I doubt they would bother following up a story for offscreen characters eg marriage and a baby.
    • I suspected that the performance with the reveal was the reason why the Ted actor got the axe and it looks like I was right. He wasn't really good at conveying what needed to be conveyed in those scenes. Claybon is at least slowly improving (but I agree that he still needs to work on his line delivery), but I do wonder what will happen when his big reveal is coming up.
    • I've already asked this before, recently, but can anyone who watched those years more closely tell me if anything said about Jessie and Simon at the end of their profiles is accurate (about them marrying, naming a baby after Brandon/Lujack, etc.)?
    • Nicole is way too smart to not know she was carrying twins - she's a doctor! My guess is that Leslie did abort her baby out of fear, and as payback, stole Ted and Nicole's child (Eva), and stole Kat from another family to replace her in the hospital.
    • Those Soap Central profiles have a lot of incorrect info. According to SOD summaries and the Daytime Newsletter of the time,Tim left town for a new job and Pam reunited with the father of her baby and also departed Springfield. They did not marry.
    • Do we believe that Jabot is at the level of Estee Lauder?? I am on board with Jabot deciding to expand but the way it was handled was ridiculous. Jabot just decided and bingo, that was that. Not months of negotiations and decisions about how it would fit into the Jabot portfolio. And then no follow through. Josh thinks he's serving business stories by characters sitting around and discussing mergers, takeovers and job switching. Now we have Audra setting up her own company -Vibrator or something. Well, why not? You don't need staff, office space or even products.
