But Ron's still employed at Days. What a travesty. They don't get it that trotting out Ally Sweeney every few years doesn't counter the endless repeat back from the dead/lookalike/masks/killer/hostage stories Ron keeps retelling.

BTG: October 2026 Discussion Thread

I understand there are budget considerations and they are filming at a fast pace, but why create stories without the sets to support them?
.We heard so much about the free clinic and Banneker and never see them. Same with some of those head scratching elements to the storylines, that many viewers notice but no one at the show seems to be bothered about.
Are they that under the pump that there is no one that can make those corrections needed?
For example in designing the sets, they gave Nicole an office which was never used yet the Duprees are always in the living room. They needed a study or dining room to vary things.
And Nicole and Bill's house not having afront door so people just wander in from a corridor.
The ugly unsuitable set for Joey that they had to change.
The hospital set w/o a waiting room so everyone always gathers at the front desk.
Maybe a new EP that has a vision -although these seem to be in short supply these days.

I'm pretty sure that's all it was, lol. I feel like he was thinking Opal Gardner or something (and lest we forget, Opal turned out to be the mother of Adrian Sword!).
Is there precedent for kind white people to turn out to have racist beliefs despite appearing outwardly very liberal or chill? Absolutely. Would I buy it of the quiet, gentle Becky Lee I've seen since in the '80s? Mmm, no. Delilah, maybe!

Just did some checking re Y&R some legacy charcters
Reed ,Victoria's son- offscreen for over 6 years
Faith-Nick/Sharon daughter - offscreen for over 4 years
Charlie/Mattie-Can& Lily's twins -offscreen for over 6 years
Scott-Lauren's son -offscreen for over 7 years
Fen-Lauren/Michael's son -offscreen for 6 years apart from a visit
Connor,Johnny.Katie, Christian etc are also never seen,
Jamey/Dan need to address this.

I actually think the little girl that plays Donna is absolutely adorable-and I can't stand most GH kids. However, I am totally fine with her disappearing and never being mentioned again. Donna doesn't really serve a purpose unless you count her work as being the #1 (and only) Justine/Sonny fangirl.

BTG: October 2026 Discussion Thread

It would not be so difficult or expensive for BTG to show Banneker. All they really need is an office set, and a hallway set. No need to see classrooms, dorms, etc., really. AND, we'd need a few exterior establishing shots (from a real college). None of that would take much effort or cost a lot of money. Then we could finally have some young love stories on BTG.

ALL: Best /Worst Retcons

Poor retcons would include these: Gunther#1 awkwardly revealed later to have been the actual Gunther's twin brother, Bruno, EON; Taylor's return from the dead, B&B; Lesley's return from the dead, GH; Sabrina, Lien, Duke, Scott, ATWT (under Marland's tired pen). A somewhat stronger retcon, in my view, was GL's '83 Eli Simms story, which--albeit a stretch--at least brought the then fragmented cast together working as a unit in an umbrella plot of sorts.
