Alex is so much fun this time around.  I bet Finola had fun.  Kristen Storms can still play the quips, but she is barely doing anything else.  She’s hardly even moving in these scenes.

Peter and Chase standing on that huge empty hospital set is just strange.  I know it’s safer this way but maybe stage the shots so we can’t see all that empty space behind them.

I really wish Dev was just trying to come between Cameron and Joss, but for Cameron’s sake.  I would kill for a devious gay/bi person in one of these triangles.  I totally get the fear of having representation that is viewed in a negative light when there are so few lgbtq+ stories and characters on daytime.  But they

could always just redeem him after like the many soap vixens that came before him.

I haven't watched the last two days yet.

I wish they'd make a decision about Dev. I liked him simply stirring things up but that can only go so far.

Maxie has been useless for years and years now.

Today's show is already Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Willow and Michael are a huge NO. Make it stop! lol. They're trying way too hard. Meanwhile, the 'couple' they aren't forcing ...

I like Chase and Brook.

Hopefully Jax and Carly's whisper sessions cause Nina to become interesting again and go postal on them.

Sasha still feels like dead woman walking, and honestly, so does Willow. It's only a matter of when.

And I didn't comment on the last two episodes but I really enjoyed Laura's return and Genie Francis was well rested and ready to go! lol. Laura was giving me life. More of this Laura!

SIGH. I'd rather watch Olivia and Leo and Wiley's tomato sauce fight than Willow and Michael. I find it ironic they're as dull as watching paint dry and they're ... painting.

I love Amanda Setton but can we keep Briana Lane as Brook Lynn? I really like her with Swickard/Chase.

And this show needs to not tease me with a Franco death. It's time. Fire Howarth and move on. Of course we'd just get Todd Manning and Liz falling for him because of his familiar face. I sound like Carlivati ...

I hate that they're writing Michael as a crushy teenager with no confidence. He, as a character should be a lot stronger than that.

And yeah, I'm loving the chemistry between Chase and Brook Lynn too. All the writers need to do is keep them on the same path that they're on right now. I'm hoping so much that we don't get the "BL is pregnant by Valentin, Chase says he's the father" storyline. Not only is it played out and annoying, it's not necessary in this case.

And I still got my fingers crossed for Franco's death/RH's firing, even though we all know it would be a miracle if that happens lol. It's time to reunite Liz with Lucky, even if it is with a recast.

Theresa Carter, and she's dead. Pretty sure Guza ended up retconning that into Scott having killed her, not Laura.

GH moving Trina - one of the only vibrant teen players - away from Cam to pair him with the boring white girl/Starr Manning Substitute #8 (Joss) is another reason I can't bother with this piece of shít show. It's been all but dead to me since 2013. It's so behind the times and it has no interest in evolving.

Alex was a heroine on AMC, but a very boring one which is why they eventually brought Anna in. Allegedly, Alex was originally intended to be Anna brainwashed into a new identity, but either the network or Finola vetoed that and they came up with the convoluted backstory for Alex instead, in which she was her own person who their evil mother had brainwashed into operating as Anna in the underworld. But Alex herself was a dud character beyond her chemistry with Michael Nader/Dimitri, so they brought Anna on and wrote Alex out with Dimitri after Nader got fired. And when Dimitri and Nader returned to Pine Valley in 2013, his first scene had him tell Brooke he and Alex had divorced.

Alex was a (lame) heroine, but she had a long history of mental illness and brainwashing to operate as a baddie due to her mother's machinations; she'd been in a sanitarium, I believe. It is not a stretch at all for me to believe Alex had reverted to supervillainy given her background. What annoys me is that GH has never, ever discussed it even in a single line of dialogue which could've taken care of it. They just brought her in and said "here's Alex, Anna's evil twin". It takes ten seconds!

I don’t think it was Finola.  I’ve heard her on podcasts and in other comments say she did not feel like she did good work in the dual roles, that she wasn’t capable of doing enough to make them seem like two different people, especially when she could see David Canary doing it so much better.  I think she even said the only way you could tell them apart was by their hairstyles lol.  She was relieved when they wrote Alex out.

I wonder if it was easier now since they really played up Alex being more unhinged.

Michael Nader as Dimitri was so good on AMC that I just kept watching even when they made the story such a mess.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
