Members YRBB
I think it has a lot of potential and the story behind it is great.
Administrator Toups Posted September 8, 2020 Administrator Share Posted September 8, 2020 Peacock won the bidding war and the show already has a 2 season commitment based on the pitch alone. Looking forward to seeing this. Members DramatistDreamer
It's not going to be for everyone. It looks interesting, if Peacock offers a freeview, I'll definitely give it a look.
Members Faulkner
They should have gotten this out there before All American. It feels a bit déjà vu.
Members DramatistDreamer
This series (which got a second season renewal fairly early on) seems to be very popular. The casting, while not perfect, has been very solid, imo. Vernee Watson and Daphne Maxwell Reid are both appearing in the season finale. It would not surprise me if OG "Aunt Viv" makes an appearance in season 2, at some point. And by OG "Aunt Viv", I mean the actress who portrayed her, Janet Hubert.
Members Cheap21
They were actually in the episode before the finale I love this show and I loved the casting. I like how each character felt different form the original while still embodying them in their own unique way. LOVED Hillary and that she isnt an airhead in this. She has improved the most
Members Noel
I'll download it and see what's going on. I actually watched 1883 (Yellowstone prequel) and bawled my ass off, but that's another story in another thread, lol! Members Noel
It would've been cool to see the show set in the 90's. Great cast although I'm not sure about the actor who plays Carlton, but the storylines seem to have a nice flow to them.
Members reallyhateskateonlost
I wonder if they will get rid of Will by killing him off.
Members Noel
LOL! I didn't get that vibe in S01E10. It all centers around him, but I am liking this cast a lot. I'm also glad to see Carlton's layers peeling away a little bit.
Members DramatistDreamer
The casting is really good imo. I actually think the actor who plays Carlton is good at playing angst, which is what I think they wanted Carlton to be like for most of the first season. Like @Noel, I didn’t get any type of vibe that Will would be eliminated since the story of Bel Air is about his life there. I don’t think they will kill Will off at all. What happens with the real life celebrity has nothing to do with what goes on with this series.
Members Khan
Leave it to some so-called "wokesters," though, to demand that Will (the character) be removed from the series after what Will (the actor) did at the Oscars.
Members DramatistDreamer
Maybe I don’t pay as much attention to social media as I used to because I haven’t heard any calls for the character to be killed off. At least not from people who watch the actual series.
