Turner Classic Movies 2021 Memorial

IMO, that’s the best they’ve done in a few years, especially with the graphics and choices of clips. What losses we had in 2021. Thank you for posting this.

The editing is first-rate, but the song is grating - the choice of an emo woe cover of a song that is already very depressing feels like overkill.

TCM always have beautiful memorials, and this was no exception. Such a difference compared to the awful stuff we've seen at the Academy Awards in recent years.

May Archbishop Tutu rest in peace. He was a consistent freedom fighter and religious shepherd to his people.

Amen to this!

What a shock. His work on Sharp Objects was beyond stunning.

I was fearing that he died by his own hand, but it was believed to be a heart attack. Just so sad.

I loved Sharp Objects and his season of Big Little Lies. I also encourage anyone who hasn't seen it to watch the Quebecois film, C.R.A.Z.Y, that he directed/wrote/produced. It's a modern classic coming of age queer story.
