Members applcin
Years ago, I taped an episode of The Sally Jessy Raphael Show that featured BJ Thomas as a surprise for the show's guest, a morbidly obese young man whose name, I think, was Jackie. He idolized BJ and was thrilled to meet him, sit next to him and hear his story. Jackie's doctor was also present and they spoke a lot about the respective addictions (food and drugs). BJ also sang a poignant song to Jackie called "Broken Toys." I've never forgotten this show, BJ's kindness towards Jackie (and his own honesty) and have wondered what happened to that young man.

Members applcin
Came across this movie (called Harvey Middleman, Fireman from 1965) starring Arlene Golonka and a young Eugene Troobnick, aka Uncle Stavros on GL. Funny to me to see ET so young and without a Greek accent. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Harvey+Middleman%2c+Fireman+(1965)&docid=608044279742621093&mid=9E8CC53B4CF2878D454D9E8CC53B4CF2878D454D&view=detail&FORM=VIRE
Members ChitHappens
Gavin MacCleod was a terrific actor and I mostly enjoyed TLB because of him. One of my favorite eppies of the MTM show was a very married Murray deciding he was in love with Mary. I laughed til I cried. It was hilarious. I haven't seen that eppy in eons but it's such a stand out for me.
Members dragonflies
Robert Hogan, who played Smilin' Jack on M*A*S*H has passed https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/soap-alum-dead-at-87/ Edited June 1, 2021 by dragonflies
Members ChitHappens
RIP, Robert Hogan Please register in order to view this content Outside of Eric Braeden, I don't recall any other soap star making more appearances on 70s & 80s shows. RH guest starred in quite a bit of prime time shows back in the day.
Members applcin
I'd put the late Bob Hastings in that group as well. I've seen Robert Hogan in a lot of one-off roles but I mostly think of him as AW's Vince. Edited June 2, 2021 by applcin

Members All My Shadows
I know him best for scaring the every-living SHT out of me as a child in Tales from the Hood. Knowing that he was still alive and well all these years made it less scary, but now, I don't know...
Members applcin
I saw Clarence once at BB King's club in NYC at an Air Supply concert. I went home that evening and googled for a photo of him and his wife just to make sure I hadn't seen a lookalike.
Members DRW50
Clarence was pure class (when he wasn't switching to such smooth, delicious menace) in everything. My parents enjoy watching the Kellie Martin Hallmark movies he was in and he was great even in those.
