Really devastating.

Seriously, is it December already?  Because that's been the time of the year when we have so many frequent, high-profile deaths.

Reminds me a bit of how 2016 and 2020 played out. I'd say it's election year turmoil, or climate change, or the general dispiriting vibe in this country, but I know that's too easy; its probably just many factors converging.

Wow, over the last two years there had been quite a bit of Godfather nostalgia (the somewhat controversial but highly engrossing bts memoir “Leave The Gun, Take The Cannoli and The Offer which is a limited series based on that book which were both said to be drawn primarily from the perspective of Al Ruddy.

I always had such a respect for Marian Robinson, who, after already doing so much in her life to raise a family, had to be there for Michelle, Barack and for Sasha and Malia at a time of such immense racism and bile. I don't think a First Lady has ever faced the consistent level of abuse Michelle faced (and still faces to this day). I know she must be heartbroken right now.

What sad news. My deep condolences to Michelle Obama and her brother Craig Robinson and all her grandchildren, no doubt a painful loss for the entire family. R.I.P.

Janis Paige has died at 101. I knew her best from the OBC recording of The Pajama Game.

I mainly know her from her guest spot on the Mary Tyler Moore Show - that or the glimpses I saw of her as Minx Lockridge on Santa Barbara (certainly one of the more...unique recasting choices in soap history).

Wow. Santa Barbara, GH, Capitol & Flamingo Road. RIP So many interesting roles, soaps, theatre and movies.

Janis Paige was too young to play the mother of Nicolas Coster, but in a vacuum, she did do a great job in putting her spin on the role of Minx.

May Janice Paige rest in peace.
