RIP Jack Axelrod (ex-Victor Jerome, General Hospital) who passed at age 93.

That was an appropriate omission from the "in memoriam" tribute.
He appeared in only 8 episodes of Days in 2011.   In 2020, Longo was arrested on a domestic assault charge. Longo pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in 2021 after being charged with the sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl.
When he died, headlines referred to him as "Days of Our Lives actor Cody Longo" probably because some intern or publicist said so.

Thanks for that information. I am sure there were others appropriate to be cut because of significance. It's just natural. I did think they spent too much time on visuals of the lovely singer & that time could have been spent honoring a few more. However, on the whole it was good. One thing though ... Pat Robertson?! Are you effing kidding me?! The only reason he appeared at 9 am eastern for years was because he put it in the contract when he sold the channel.

RIP Jack Axelrod died Nov. 28, 2023 of natural causes at 93. He played mob boss Victor Jerome for 3 yrs on GH.

Without going down the entire list, I can say that David Jacobs, Piper Laurie, and Ryan O'Neal aren't omissions as they never regularly worked in daytime. Having connections to primetime soaps doesn't make one part of the daytime community.

Very good point. The list I keep has both daytime & primetime. Although as it happens it is about 85% daytime, at least. Thanks for pointing that out. I was ouching particularly over David Jacobs & now I can let that go free!

I only know him from his pivotal role on Rescue Me. A very handsome man in his prime. If it wasn't for his character's death, I would have never been able to fall in love with batshit crazy Sheila, played by Callie Thorne. R.I.P.

I still remember James McCaffrey from some godawful made-for-TV movie about babies that were switched at birth or something.  IIRC, he played the deadbeat biological dad of one of the babies.
