David Lynch made very unique use of him as a comic relief character in Twin Peaks Season 3 and I was glad to see it, despite scandals and sickness associated with him before and after. Got to see him do the Broadway revival as well in the early 90s. He also played a Nazi hunter in "The House on Garibaldi Street."
