Daddy-Daughter dance day!
I gotta admit, I did laugh at the generic banner that was hanging at the dance though. It could've been a little bit more imaginative lol and as always, the music could have been a lot better 😂😂😂
And while I did think that the dance was a little rushed, I'm glad that the writers had Brady actually confront Sarah about what he learned from Philip, and about her feelings for Xander. Reveals, confrontations and storyline movement like that are what these "big" Soap parties and events are all about, IMO. I wish things like that had happened with more characters today; Joy/Alex/Stephanie/Theo, for example.
I actually didn't expect Sarah to flat out admit that she still loved Xander, but her deflection and declaration of love to Brady almost felt like classic soap lol. But at the same time, maybe it would've been better if today had ended with Sarah admitting that she still loved Xander, and then have the rest of her and Brady's confrontation continue on in tomorrow's episode, especially since Xander overheard them talking.
There were also a lot of sweet, dorky family moments today as everybody got ready for the dance, and then went to it. It was nice to see everybody just having fun. And to see all these relationships on display, especially Chad/Charlotte and Xander/Victoria/Sarah. I'm looking forward to seeing Xander and Sarah go and try to take down EJ, and if it's going to be tied to Brady's suspicions about the two of them. All the men looked so handsome in their suits too 😍😊😊
Speaking of EJ, him being so concerned with whoever is buying the Kiriakis house just feels pointless and almost like he's being shoehorned into this part of the story. And it also seems like he's being shoehorned into Chad and Belle's Italy trip as well. I could possibly get behind him tagging along if he still had feelings for Belle and wanted her back, but it just comes off more like he's only interested in the whole Stefano/the "house of Dimera" angle of it all instead of the Chad/Belle relationship, and that's not the right choice.
Btw, maybe it's time for Rita to be sent packing.
As slow moving as this whole Stefano mystery has been, I am glad that Marlena finally has a bigger part in it. There's honestly no reason why she shouldn't. I wouldn't even mind it if she ended up in Italy at some point during this, especially since she lied to Belle after seeing the clues.
And yeah, I still hate this new room at the Horton house. If that was a Noel Maxam mandate, it was a very bad decision that I hope got corrected quickly.
