“The Longest Days of our Lives” saga continued on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” as soap legends Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, “All My Children”), Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos, “General Hospital”), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady, “Days of our Lives”) and Heather Locklear (“Dynasty,” “Melrose Place,” et al) all made an appearance during the Friday, May 1 telecast of the late-night talk show.

In the latest chapter of the social distancing skit featuring Jimmy FallonWill Ferrell and Kristen Wiig reprising their roles as Winston, Fontaine and Veronica, respectively, we learn that Veronica still doesn’t know who the father of her baby is and that said child has had an accelerated birth and childhood. Introduced as a “Zoom baby,” literally, Blake (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), has an ax to grind with Winston and takes out his rage on the man who would be his father or his uncle.

With so many twists and turns, and shocks and awes, it’s only fitting that we’re left hanging with a cliffhanger, wondering if Winston will live or die — the best way to end a soap episode.

Watch chapter three of “The Longest Days of our Lives” below.

In episode two of “The Last Days of our Lives,” Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey was introduced as Dr. DiNunzio who was determined to reveal whether Winston or Fontaine is the father of Vanessa’s internet baby, now known as Blake, and even had a few more secrets to reveal.
