Indeed - The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is being widely used in the UK, and is also in use in Canada and Mexico, as well as throughout Europe (with some countries pausing use while they investigate blood clots which were not found to be problematic in the US trials).

Currently, the US has millions of AstraZeneca doses which it can't use because the FDA hasn't cleared it for use, so the Biden administration has generously made some of these doses available to Mexico (2.5 million) and Canada (1.5 million) before they expire.

Well, after much internet fighting yesterday, I woke up this morning to have a text.

I got my appointment this week. Moderna (hiss) but I got it.

Now to be sure I'm not too nervous and shifting work schedules.

Should be another dramatic day in a seris of dramatic work days.

The differences between Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are miniscule.

The real issue, IMO is with AstraZeneca, which has been problematic throughout this entire pandemic.

I wanted the Pfizer too like @Taoboi but it was more convenient where I received it. The place they were offering the Pfizer... the lines were way too long to wait.

FWIW, Moderna has a slightly higher efficacy % rate than Pfizer, but again, a minuscule difference.

A little but much needed humor.

Oh, how I hollered on my way to transit when I read that. If only.  I've been joking around that getting the vaccine's motivation for me is that two months for now I can do just that. ;) And goodness knows there's a lot of bubble running around like it's springtime.

Well...set up for Thursday. And as I type my mother is getting vaccinated.

This week though...:)
