GH: Actor Pens Goodbye Letter

If Frank didn't stalk actors performers in the grocery store and hire any out of work person from an dead soap he could find, I would agree.  This dude was literally hired in parking lot when he dropped LW off and could have been anyone, honestly.  Frank was trying to fill the non existent void Nathan left and Wes was right there.

I stopped when I saw one saying they just wanted an end to the drama and want to go back to the OG cast.

If they mean John Beradino and Emily McLaughlin, I'm right there.

If they mean who I think they mean...

Folks thought (wanted to believe) Burton and Benard got Miller fired, but according to Howarth's 2 new interviews, TIIC needed another Stanco angle because Howarth was tired of the redemption stories.  Kelly was really venting about Howarth.

The best drama seems to be behind the scenes at the moment! lol

Everyone knows Howarth is a joke and it's BS he's been featured so long. (And even HE knows the redemptions are bullshit)

And now Howarth is trying to save face and make it seem like this story is really about giving Becky Herbst something to do. Please. It was about giving YOU something to do and they're using Becky and fans fell for it all. (You should see the "Frizz" stans just salivate at his quotes ... it makes me ill)

Can we just clean house or like you always say ... cancel this mess! Yes, I'm very much at that point.

The cast and show clearly seem to recognize the massive complaints. But you know Frank and all that means is he doubles down.

I don't think Burton or Bernard are all that great (and I cringed when every castmember just seemed to have to go on Twitter and rave about Benard winning an Emmy) but yeah they didn't get Miller fired. Stans are nuts and read into what they want to believe. Benard's ego was on FULL DISPLAY when he was called out for leading the episode counts time and time again. The guy didn't even tag Benard but his stans did. He's not some sweet guy either ...

Honestly the only takeaway is that Becky Herbst NEVER phones it in. Meanwhile Monaco regularly thinks about pizza and probably about Miller's penis. Kelly needs to be quiet. She's the epitome of phoning it in and dominating the episode counts year after year. Sam has NEVER been needed. She's ALWAYS been useless. GH didn't even WANT HER after PC but Frons gave her a job.

    • Just compared the open on Friday's episode with the first week episodes. I think the difference is that the bass line is much more apparent -- stronger and harder.
    • Phew, that was close to disaster!

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
