I think they’ll get enough feedback on the Rosaleses to take the hint. I do wonder how Angelica will receive it.

The same way JFP took it with SBu. Continue to push them trying to find the right love interest, the right rivalry, the right job to make us accept them.

Did anyone else notice that all major recurring characters, like Jill, Traci, Lauren, Christine, and even Noah, were choices on multiple questions, but Paul was completely absent?   Even Neil who has been off screen for months was a choice.  Doug Davidson really made somebody mad at either Sony or CBS to be so callously cut out of the show.

Doug has been fired. Not put on recurring.

Angelica McDaniel is a cancer to this show. And, arguably, far more than Barbara Bloom ever was. McDaniel is behind the show’s promotional rom-com shtick for the past several years along with the agressive introduction and defense of characters like the Rosales family. She also enabled JFP and Chuck Pratt to run amok. She may be good with game shows and talk shows, but she does not understand daytime dramas and one only needs to look at her “branding” of Y&R to see this. Y&R’s falling ratings are starting to tank B&B, which in spite of its own problems, had been fairly steady in ratings for about 5 years and had even regained ground it had lost ca. 2007-11. Angie has to go!

Thanks! My friend sent it to me because she knew that Flannery’s Stephanie is one of my top 5 favorite daytime characters. Miss her!

Love your pic as well. I sure do miss Eileen on Y&R.  Her absence is a shame. In more competent hands, her final Y&R story would have re-established her as one of GC’s heavyweights had she stayed and been appreciated. Ashley and Jess’s Jill should be giving Victor and Jack a run for their money... and by extension, continually putting Nick, Victoria, Cane, and Billy in their places.

I think they'll read it.

Will they take the comments seriously? That's another question all together.

I kept repeating to put the emphasis back on the vets and those connected to them. My one character I miss the most is Jill. I know Jess Walton semi-retired, but the show really needs the complex character with such a long history living back in the Chancellor mansion and driving story.

I also wrote that it felt as if the show was trying to drive away long-term viewers on purpose as crazy as that sounds.

I wrote in for Jess’s Jill in all ways and said that it is a shame that we do not see her running the Chancellor manse and that she is not the equal of Victor and Jack, especially in these times if the show should stay in any way relevant. Those three should be running the show, especially because Jill is an original character. I also said that Paul can stay away and the aggressive introduction of Rosales characters is offensive.

And I talked about Hilary and Ashley- two characters/actors the show should not have let slip away.  I specifically said that I would like to see Jill, Lauren and Ashley be treated like the show would treat Jack.  Always a love interest.  Always a business story.  Always a rivalry.  Always allowed to have layers.  Those women deserve that.  Let Jack ride the back burner for a year.  Or ten as with Jill.

Jill sure is getting the love on this board and I echoed the same. Just because Jess is semi-retired, she could easily be featured 5 episodes a month, 62 episodes a year, that would drive the hell out of story with Jill calling the shots. That would give Jess 5 days' work in LA a month, she'd easily do that.

I imagine the feedback is going to be brutal about the Rosales family. I slated them.

It was interesting to see Jill/Traci/Lauren/Christine listed in every single question, the research on all of them must be positive.

I love JW, and any time we get to see her is better than nothing, but my fear is just they’ll simply use her as they’ve been using her: as a meddling mom for Billy and Cane.

It is a good day if I see this. It is not a 1988-93 diva move or a ca. 1999-03 mane shake and skip, but I will take it.

One of my specific comments was for the question about the character and what you'd like to see them doing and this is what I addressed directly. Jill is a standalone lead character, not a 'talk to' for Billy and Cane. She should be on par with Jack and Victor.

Agreed. She elevates every single episode she's in.

I may have also mentioned Amelia Heinle’s horrific excuse for acting and that the only reason she is still employed = Angie McDaniel’s sorry excuse for wanting rom coms and needing aging 40-something has-beens to fill the role.

I pushed for more Traci as a 'guiding light' for other characters and not just as a crybaby.

And less of the Rosales.

At least someone other than me acknowledged the fact that Traci is a just there to cry.
