Anyone that includes Garren Lake Stitt (Oscar) on a best acting list has lost all credibility. I don't think he's the worst actor to ever grace the planet like some of you out there but my God!

I was watching some of Maura West/Ava clips on YouTube, and I'm sorry but she's awful. The writing does her no favours either.

lmao! Most of his list was cringe worthy. He praised a lot a lot a lot of crap. And he likes a lot of crappy actors.

I can see how some think she overacts (maybe a bit of chewing of the scenery so to speak)

 

I think she over does it a bit but I find her usually pretty good. At least she shows up for work and always gives it a lot. More than many actors on soaps today (like how Mumbles Benard and Kelly Monaco sleepwalk through their scenes, just to name two ... LOL)

MW overacts from time to time, but I'd rather watch her Ava than Saminex,Ninny, Jillian, Frankles, Dr.Awkward, Jake Dough, Cancer Kid, distracting attorney, Wallow, Chaste, etc.

 

Benard is at least half awake in the story, but I credit that to Max Gail, but anyone that gives Howarth credit for acting deserves to be hung by their toes. RH has been terrible for a while now---not just this year.

 

I haven't read a Fairman anything in years, and still won't.

 

 

 

The entire column was trainwreck reading.

 

For every item i agreed with, there were two I disagreed with to the point of LOL. The worst? That Oscar on GH is a good actor. GMAFB. He's cringeworthy bad.

I understand there are actors just as bad out there, but that doesn't excuse Maura West hamfest acting on GH. I liked her on ATWT, but she was mis-casted on Y&R, and seems lost on GH (I blame most of the writing I've seen though).

I don't find Maura overacting. I think she's appropriate to the moment. And she laces subtext throughout, which is a lost art, especially on GH.
