Members Khan
My mother says that a former colleague of hers named her daughter Heather Brooke, after Heather on GH and Brooke on AMC. ("Which is ironic, since she was a Y&R fan," I replied. Mama Khan didn't get the joke.)
Members Dr Neil Curtis
Good Soapy name too! I was named after Brandon Capwell on Santa Barbara
Members Paul Raven
Noel is a male name that has hardly been used. Love of Life had a character in the 50's and Edge in the 70's and that's about it.
Members Franko
Regina, anyone? I always thought it'd be the perfect name for an OTT diva. If memory serves, though, Gina on Santa Barbara wasn't short for anything.
Members Ryan Chamberlain
That's pretty cool that you were named after a soap character. Please register in order to view this content

Members YRfan23
I guess I’m thankful I have a soap name too, (Taylor) but I definitely wasn’t named after the Taylor on B&B even if my mom watched back then, lol
Members Faulkner
Has there been a popular character who has gone by the name Anastasia? That just screams soap to me. On soaps, it’s usually shortened like Quint’s daughter Stacey on GL or Ana on Y&R.
Members All My Shadows
It sounds a lot like a name that would've been used on Passions. I do appreciate their deliberate attempt to use names that were not common on soaps. Valerie and Esme are my favorites. I know ATWT had a Valerie in the 70s, but have there been any other major Vals (not looking at you, Mrs. Ewing...).
Members beebs
Valerie Grant on DAYS is the only other one I can think of.
Members Khan
Or on any of Ron Carlivati's shows. Followed with the last name "Beaverhausen."
Members All My Shadows
Nah, that last name would be reserved for a character named "Levita," and yes, Tony Dow and Ken Osmond will join the cast.

Members All My Shadows
AMC also had Michael Cambias. ATWT also had Michael Shea.
