Why are they holding on to him? I found him passable but there was no investment there. He was a bit more fun when he and Hilary turned on each other but meh.

That's the most likely scenario. 

Chelsea's exit. MY's gimmick - bring back an underdeveloped, unimportant character to lead to an actor's exit (E.g. Graham for Dina). I guess Anita and/or Jeffrey weren't available. 

Catherine Bach has filmed some scenes as Anita.

And probably GR since he's due back later this month. I suppose we'll find out Kevin 'had time' to create the fake website. 

Is GR married to the head of SONY or something.....

I'm sure this post is just a light dig at me per a comment I made in another post...which was light shade I myself said in reply to his disappearance.
