I see your point. I just tend to think Nikki and Ashley have never had a problem with Victor and Jack's business ruthlessness per se, they just can't wrap their minds around their occasional, barely legal outbursts. In the meantime, Hilary is supposed to host a charity tabloid show of sorts, pleasing everyone.

I totally agree that characters need some friends to bounce off too again! I loved this aspect back then. I think they are trying to bring it back, starting with Chelsea and Jordan. The problem with Hilary is also that she has to put up with an albatross like sanctimonious Devon, who seems to be exclusively interested in redeeming her.

The other problem where Hilary is concerned is Y&R's extremely laziness in developing other characters so they utilize Hilary to facilitate the plot.

There is no reason she should be a central character in Juliet's story but because Juliet remains a generically written stock character with weak relationships and even weaker motivations (how effective would the pregnancy reveal have been if Y&R had expended half the energy they used to shove Hilary into the story into building a genuine relationship between Juliet, Lily, Charlie & Mattie) so Y&R uses Hilary to keep things interesting.

It wouldn't be so bad if they only did it with this one story (since the majority of the characters involved are ones she has serious history with) but they've done it with almost every story over the past couple of years.

I'm actually waiting until they shove her into one of the few stories she has little to no presence in thus far (Scotty & Abby at Newman) since endless amounts of meet-cute scenes and underwritten potential villains have failed maintain viewer interest.

Hilary's first order of business after this story is complete will be making that music story of Devon's interesting since centering it around heroine Mariah hasn't produced much interest. So Hilary will be thrust into it as antagonist for Mariah AND Tessa.  Tessa is tied to Abby's story since she knows that Zach guy. So @deedee, Hilary being in that Abby and Scott story at Newman isn't far fetched. Wait for it...and didn't Newman buy a media company? I find it hard to believe that won't have repercussions for Hilary.

@cassadine1991, while Mariah at Newman working with Summer and Abby is a great place for Mariah, during those stories she was never much of anything but part of the peanut gallery.  I think the entire purpose of her as Hilary's rival and Devon's love interest was to give her a more prominent role in story. lead vs supporting.

Kevin complained to Chloe that being locked inside was no way to spend summer. They searched the house and found an unlocked window, which they cracked open. Unfortunately, the fog that turns people inside out was lurking outside and seeped into the room. Kevin and Chloe were unable to escape and succumbed to their injuries.

    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
    • Yes!! I didn't realize it before, and had a busy weekend, so wasn't here much

Wow, what happened to AMC this week? Crashing from 8.4 to 6.6.. I mean, I know they used to go up and down much more than they do today, but this seems like a harsh drop (from 7th to 13th). And nice to see Y&R's first weeks
    • Why did they cut Chelsea coming out to her grandparents? We should have seen that
