June was another exciting month for the show. The race for top spot was very close between Heather Tom, Eric Braeden and Alex Donnelley, as Victor & Diane's divorce battle and Victoria's pregnancy were the two biggest stories of the month. Meanwhile, Jill & Katherine's house storyline heated up with Jill's discovery that Phillip had left documents for her, and they had their famous attic catfight. While not reflected in the counts, Jennifer Gatti (Keesha Tramp Winters) appeared in 1 episode in flashbacks.

He was actually in town, at Jabot. At this point, John still lives in Genoa City. He was said to have returned, however, from a trip (following a lengthy absence). He doesn't move to New York with Billy for another couple of months.

 

This was when Bill Bell was still HW with Kay Alden?

Yes, they're co-HWing at this point.

What was Neil doing this month? He was on quite a bit more than Liv and Malcolm. 

I think Neil had more airtime because of Victoria.

Oh yeah, I forgot they were a thing. So did the show based over the last 18 years.

Which is fine, in the end, for various reasons, although they could have kept up more of a friendship throughout the years.

Love you for doing this! Thank you! Fun to look back. I remember this time well. I never forgot about Neil/Victoria. It seems so bizarre now considering who's playing Victoria. It really didn't work but I think they could have maintained a friendship.

I believe John and Billy moved to New York in the fall, not summer. Jerry Douglas guest starred on Melrose Place during it's final season. In an interview back then, Jerry described his MP character as a "Victor Newman type".

I hadn't realized Danny left so early in the summer and I don't believe he had proper on-screen exit, it was just mentioned he left town a few weeks later on he was on tour with Daniel in tow. I'd also forgotten about Katherine's old maid being played by Gloria LeRoy.
