I never thought of him as a "dangerous mobster" nor saw any evidence of it. For the majority of his run,  he has been, a two bit con man loser.

You do have a point IRT the diff between how the women and men are being written.

Colin was introduced as dangerous. He had humour, but it was an edgy wit. He wasn't silly. He was written that way until Cane was killed. It actually wasn't bad writing considering it was MAB.

It was when MAB signed on Gene Francis (Genevieve) and brought Colin back with her that he was turned into this cartoon. If the writers would incorporate the early days of Colin back into him he'd be much better.

I don't know why they are keeping Lauren and Jill apart. A few battle scenes between them could really spice up this story. Lauren hasn't given Jill a second thought.

Which, when you think of it, is really ironic since I often believe that SS and the writers haven't given Lauren a second thought...or so it seems, these days.

The big developments for the younger leads during Smith's tenure were Cassie's maturation, the promotion of JT & Brittany, Devon's arrival, the official ending of the Glow By Jabot Crew and the beginning of Daniel & Lily.

Also making Jill Katherine's daughter. On B&B, he made Ridge Massimo's son and not Eric's. He likes parentage storylines.

Unlike most (or all) of you, I don't see a problem with Goddard and I'm glad he's getting something to do.  If anyone is holding the other back, it's CK. She's so limited. Goddard needs another pairing with someone interesting. CK will more than likely have a black love interest and she'll probably want to leave. Let's just hope she doesn't accidentally audition for her own role again.

Ideally I want AH fired & HT to return but that's not happening.

I wouldn't mind a recast as long as it's not Alicia Minshew, Rebecca Budig or Terri Colombino.

I'd recast the character with an actress like Virginia Williams or Bethann Bonner.

I certainly don't have issues with him or Cane.  I feel Cane and before the writing takeover I had no feelings for him.  I can see why Jill responds to him, as well.  She 'gets' what it's like to be poor/low-class and the feeling of restlessness when one wants something they can't have.

Restlessness.  Wait.  I just said 'Restlessness'.  I think I see a pattern here ;)

Cane wasn't poor. Colin & Genevieve had money.

We all miss Heather Tom, but that ain't gonna get rid of Heinle. IMO the best people can hope for is another recast.

I believe Carrie Genzel (AMC's Skye in the late 90s) auditioned in 1997 maybe they could reapproach her

Don't worry. I'm pretty sure that Jill's poverty is leading Devon giving her all his money....or her suing him and winning it all.

Colin is beneath Jill and this should be their swan song.

I don't like Heinle in the role any more than anyone else but constantly talking about Heather Tom in the '90s and early 2000s and reposting clips from (at least) over a decade ago does not solve the problem, and I doubt Tom is in a rush to leave her cozy perch. IMO the better point to make is about the writing for Victoria since the change, and pushing them for another recast that does not make the execs at Sony/CBS feel self-consciously old-fashioned, as they always do at any mention of 'history'.

Sony doesn't want a strong Victoria. They don't care. I'd love to see Heather Tom back, especially since B&B has given her [!@#$%^&*] sandwiches for 10 years, but Victoria could be more with or without her. Clearly Sony doesn't give a damn.

@deedee @GMac

That didn't cross your mind? I can surely see it. Devon will give Jill his money to fulfill her dream of buying jack out of Fenmore's and somehow she will fail leaving them both broke. Or Colin will leave with it as his last hoorah!
