Agree!  I'm not complaining about that!  But I think the apartment door is a cheap, obvious joke; and I hate cheap, obvious jokes on sitcoms.

I'll give them a pass since it's a Halloween episode. lol. Did you enjoy the "Everybody Loves Brian" mention ? lol!

Premiere was fun. I missed this show and needed some happiness last night. It was great to have it back.

The cast remains fabulous. They haven't missed a beat. The script was sharp and I couldn't stop laughing. I did enjoy the slight 'dig' at Netflix. I think a lot of folks opinion about Netflix has gone down. Not saying they still don't have some good/great shows on there but the momentum it once had seems to be ... anywho ... (I think Netflix needs to figure out what it wants to be again, personally and I say that as someone who was practically Netflix addicted for a few years, and way before they started creating original content)

I miss the full opening theme song though but understandable it's cut for time of course. I feel like theme songs really make a show and it's been sad over the years to see just 30 second openings.

Can't wait to see Marla Gibbs. Love seeing her get work and that she's still able to work. Love love love her.

Random, but Betty White has kinda disappeared ... hope she's doing ok!

Forgive me if it's been said already, but is the show available anywhere else, like Hulu?

Wow, in the process of looking to see if it is, I've learned that Pluto TV debuted a new 24/7 channel for the original series last night in honor of the new series's return! They're airing the first six seasons on a loop with some episodes of AITF sprinkled in as well. Simply amazing that they made it a purpose to highlight the original series, especially when the success of a reboot sometimes means the fading out of the source material.

Alas, it seems like Pop is the only legal way to see the new season. I'm sure I can find it somewhere, but I really wanted to watch it in a way that helps the show.

@DRW50

I don't have a cable plan beyond streaming anymore, and I'm not willing to pay $50 just for Hulu or Pop's live service. So I too will sadly find Other Means to watch, but for now I'll watch the premiere free on Pop's site/app.

    • I don't care.  I feel that murderers and rapists shouldn't be romantic leads.
    • https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/7th-heaven-reboot-cbs-studios-jessica-biel-1236401017/ Sources say that the new show would focus on a diverse family, and that none of the original cast members would appear.  Anthony Sparks will serve as executive producer and showrunner on the reboot.  Jessica Biel, who starred in the original series, is executive producing under her Iron Ocean banner along with Michelle Purple.  DeVon Franklin will executive produce via Franklin Entertainment and his overall deal with CBS Studios. Sparks was previously the showrunner on the critically-acclaimed OWN series “Queen Sugar.” He also worked as an executive producer on “Bel-Air” at Peacock and the Mike Tyson biographical series “Mike” at Hulu. His other TV writing credits include “The Blacklist” and “The District.” Franklin is best known for producing faith based films like “Miracles from Heaven” and “Heaven Is for Real.” He previously held positions at Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment as well as MGM and Sony’s Colombia Pictures. In his time as a studio exec, he worked with Smith on films like “The Pursuit of Happyness,” “Hancock,” and “Seven Pounds.” His other credits include the animated Biblical film “The Star” as well as “Flamin’ Hot” and the BET+ original series “Kingdom Business.”
    • I think both of them have been given balanced, nuanced, and honest writing about who they both are, flaws and all, for months now. It's not so basic or black and white.
    • Grant Aleksander talks a bit about Capitol 50 minutes into this interview. He says he did the show because he was under a hold due a pilot he made for Aaron Spelling and only had limited choices in what he could do. John Conboy agreed to hire him at Capitol for six months but told him he would only really have two sets - a pool and a bed.

    • The Gio apology tour is getting very annoying and boring really fast.
    • I can't believe sweet and innocent Sarah Whiting would call Evie Stone a "tramp" and Wendy Carter a "slut"!

Phillip Brown and Maree Cheatham did not get along at all
    • Xander and EJ are villains.  I don't like them being written as romantic leads.  My opinion.
    • And those two couples cover all the main families on the show. As long as good story is happening than I'm happy to continue on with them together.
    • Wake me up when Phyllis stops being the centre of the show again. Haven’t these writers learned from their mistakes? They want her to be a heroine so bad. Sharon is being used to prop up Phyllis once again by making her seem jealous over her and Nick having an intimate moment. Wtf? Why would Sharon care? it’s Phyllis’ world and everyone is just living in it. Gagggggggg
    • So there we have Lily and Damian in the same clothes, so the same day having 2  meet ups in different venues. Just about sums up the show and I'm sure there was a lot of talk about business. And they make NO effort to cover up that CL has no customers. I would feel uncomfortable sitting in an empty space. And anyone who wants to defend that set after looking at those pics, go ahead. Sharon must be losing a fortune on that place, maybe that's why she's decided against an update. For some reason,CL loses out on having extras. At least the other venues might have 4 or so people milling around.
