I have to agree.  What kind of sweeps month is this when absolutely nothing happens except wailing over Morgan's death?  Yes, it was tragic, but someone should tell these self absorbed characters that life goes on, and try paying attention to those who are still around.  I'm completely underwhelmed so far.

Catching up on GH

Valentini's production values continue to be impressive.

Loved Laura's outfit on 10/31 episode. Why isn't she the centerpiece of the show?  Like Kevin but Laura needs someone more dynamic.  What about Finn?

Actor playing Valentine sucks.  His mannerisms are weird.  Any scene involving him is so over the top

Emmy Rylan has to go. The Pam Anderson persona is so irritating after all these years; she's never been Lulu. One of the worst recasts on this show

Liz/Franco work well.  He's such a trooper, makes all the material work.  Loved his 10/31 performance

Kudos to Jelly for threading Monica in.

Love the actress playing Nelle.  Now hire the dude who played young Luke

Love some of the beats they play i.e. Anna/Robin mother daughter scenes.

Stop with the Griff character; they've thrown the kitchen sink at him: priest, doctor, father etc. None of it's working.  He can't act. He's no Patrick/JT

11/2 episode.  There should have been a pic of Lucille/Jesse alongside Steve.  The hospital wouldn't have run without the nurses station.

The tall African American dude playing Curtis turned out to be a bad actor. Get rid of him.

No, no, no. Not crazy Nina again.  Cut your losses, increase your budget and let Stafford go back to YR now that Alden/Morina are in charge.  Love her, Nina a failed character.

Dialog has improved. Andrea Archer Comptom scripts usually rock.

They need to trim the stories to A,B,C and get rid of the extraneous characters.

Have you watched Days of Our Lives to see cheap production values and horrid costumes (check out Dario's members only grey jacket he's worn every day for six months)?  Valentini is doing a great job in that regard.

Donnell cannot act, period; neither can Matt Cohen as Griff.

Agree that Franco/Liz is a sick pairing but all the shows have abhorrent male leads who've committed heinous crimes and are the heroes day after day.  Roger is a gem.

Emmy Rylan is awful; she always has been.  Given her size/voice and appearance she can really only play a certain type. Her tough act with these GH serial killers is embarrassing.

Roger has not been a "gem" in many years (except his brief turn on OLTL 2.0 on Prospect Park. Other than that he's just Hammy-Todd ---through his ATWT stint til now. He should never been brought back as Franco---a serial killer played by an actor well above his pay grade)As for Ninny--the two should marry and leave town--neither character has gelled with the cast

Turner has chemistry with Budig, Antoine--even the off putting Stafford and Sarpy. Hell, he even worked in scenes with Easton

Again, a serious head writer and executive producers could whip the show into shape, if anyone cared. The execs at ABC don't care and we remain watching godawful stories.

With Elizabeth's past story coming back to haunt her...now is the time for a hero--not a zero to be on her side...where's Lucky?

    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
    • Yes!! I didn't realize it before, and had a busy weekend, so wasn't here much

Wow, what happened to AMC this week? Crashing from 8.4 to 6.6.. I mean, I know they used to go up and down much more than they do today, but this seems like a harsh drop (from 7th to 13th). And nice to see Y&R's first weeks
