I think the soaps are where they are. Won't really ever see a huge uptick or a massive drop, so that begs the question what DO they do then? They keep recycling through fired head writer after fired head writer (this is EVERY soap) to the same results. They refuse to search outside of the box, and that's if anyone even wants the job.

 

I know the demo matters (and IMO, for Daytime, it shouldn't, frankly it shouldn't be the be all end all anyway) but these shows still pull in at least 2 million a day. Y&R's still up there around 4/5. It's not exactly shabby. But still ...
