February 29, 201610 yr Member I was mostly excited about Leo's win because of the Jack/Rose GIF and pics opportunities. And that didn't disappoint!
February 29, 201610 yr Member Leo is owed a Career Oscar because? Is he 80? it's not about age. It's about being so good for a long time and having a lot great roles without an Oscar. Sometimes you don't win for your best stuff. Like when Succi Lucci finally won. People were just happy she finally won even though it might now have been for her best material. And right now a lot people happy for Leo. Being so good or being privileged enough to hand pick whatever role you want to always be a contender?
February 29, 201610 yr Member I doubt Leo will win again, let him have his moment in the sun. As for his acting ability, he's an actor that tries many roles, but I don't feel he has enough range to take on some of the roles he's gotten (and didn't deserve an Oscar for most of the years he was nominated).

March 1, 201610 yr Member I thought Whoopi looked fantastic. Gaga's rendition of her song with the Survivors on stage was well done. Grohl's song during the In Memoriam was also good. It feels like quite a few others were absent from the segment...
March 1, 201610 yr Member I thought Gaga sounded AWFUL. I think she is trying too hard and it's showing.

March 1, 201610 yr Member Boo hoo boo hoo boo hoo...I know the Stallones have had a tough few years, but he was lucky to even get nominated. http://www.ew.com/article/2016/02/29/frank-stallone-apologizes-mark-rylance

March 1, 201610 yr Author Administrator There are plenty of people who are good and take a long time to win Oscars. Many of them never seem to get the bizarre pity and cloying sympathy that he gets. I guess it's partially because it's a fun meme people can feel clever about, and also because people still remember him for Titanic, rather than phoning it in when he isn't spending most of his time whoring around with interchangeable models. I don't think those people are huge superstars like Leo is. And for those who are huge, like Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr., etc, people aren't clamoring for them to win. He was getting this big push because a lot of people recognized the great work he's done, and the amount of times he lost. He was different than those big movie stars who haven't won before. Leo carefully chooses his projects - he doesn't do what everyone is doing. He is one of the biggest movie stars in the world and he hasn't done: a sequel, a franchise, a superhero movie, an animation. What Leo put his mind and body through during the shooting of The Revenant, I definitely wouldn't call that phoning it in. And there's nothing wrong with "whoring around with interchangeable models." He's not married. He's not hurting anyone. He's a huge movie star who is single. He probably has one of if not the best "Murderer's Row" of women, one that rivals Derek Jeter's "Murderer's Row" of women. LOL

No one forced him off. Sounds like he can dish it but not take it. Either that or he needs a thicker skin
