It's time again…grade the soaps!!

B&B: B+...I have to agree with others on this, B&B is pretty much at the top of its game compared to other soaps as of late, as flawed as it may be.

Days: F...Good god, I've attempted to watch it several times within the past few months, and, with all due respect to anybody that is a fan, I just do not like it at all. It's not a soap I really ever watched to begin with to be completely honest, so aside from the Marlena serial killer storyline, I don't know a lot about it.

GH: D...While I'm not exactly a die hard fan, I don't mind it, I do find it entertaining. We don't get it on television here in Australia, so I tune into it through youtube from time to time.

Y&R: C...While I'm not exactly a fan of Pratt's tenure so far, to say the very least, there are things I do like. Lately Y&R will just do a complete 180 with me, one day I'll be enthralled with all that's going on, the next I'm just rolling my eyes in boredom or annoyance, I just can't decide.

I only watch 2 Soaps.

Y&R- B-

It is not the same, and some characters are out of wack. But I still watch it, and I am not Fast Fowarding too much. It could use some work.

B&B- A-

We were at such a high earlier this year, we knew it would go down. I am loving the new characters, with some new blood. However, too much Liam/Steffy/Wyatt/Ivy. The only part of that story I like is Aly. BTW, when are they going to call Thorne to say his daughter is out of wack again?

Just watched a week of B&B. The actress who plays Steffie is painful to watch; she's had as much surgery and work done as Hunter Tylo. It's frightening to see.

The crazed teen storyline is so campy and heavy handed but the actress is very good and will go places. Let's hope she kills Steffie.

Ivy is fantastic.

NuRidge is just awful. I have never liked that actor and he's so miscast in the role and his guttural/raspy voice is as annoying as Doug Davidson's Paul on Y&R

The Maya/Parents mini arc will be too pat and sugar coated but some of the early scenes have been good. Although, once again, Patrick Mulcahey's Monday July 6th script blows the other writers out of the water; not one other script writer compares to his ability on that show. It's kind of bizarre how out of balance the writing tends to be. Loved the July 3rd/Holiday episode. Reminded me of the Bauers on Guiding Light; even the Forrester kitchen looks like Mo Bauer's kitchen.

I'd give it an A minus for the summer so far. It's fun and glamorous.

B&B easily A- The only thing that really bugged me was Wyatt/Steffy, but I'm kind of digging the energy between AB/DB.

Y&R a solid B. It's not perfect and I watch maybe two times a week, but I've never turned off an episode because at least we are seeing a lot of familiar faces getting heavy air time and so I'm more curious about it.

DAYS - I will return in the fall, with hopes that they'll figure it out.

    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
    • Yes!! I didn't realize it before, and had a busy weekend, so wasn't here much

Wow, what happened to AMC this week? Crashing from 8.4 to 6.6.. I mean, I know they used to go up and down much more than they do today, but this seems like a harsh drop (from 7th to 13th). And nice to see Y&R's first weeks
    • Why did they cut Chelsea coming out to her grandparents? We should have seen that
