So sad to hear of Anne Meara's passing. I had the pleasure of working with her on All My Children and I remember the first time she came into the studio when I had recently joined the show, in true Anne Meara fashion, she walked into the hair and make-up room, looked at me, and without missing a beat said "who the hell are you supposed to be," I burst into laughter. I always looked forward to her visits to Pine Valley because I knew she would make us laugh. RIP Anne Meara, you were one of a kind!

Anne was great in anything I saw her in, but I always respected the warmth and humor she brought to AMC. It could have been just a job to her but she never made it seem that way.

I'm old so I remember Stiller and Meara appearing frequently on "The Ed Sullivan Show." Anne was a very funny lady. RIP.

She was terrific as Peggy and seemed to have a ball doing it. She had wonderful "maternal" chemistry with John Callahan and Michael Nader. RIP.

I loved her on Archie Bunker's Place, as well as Peggy. She was truly one of the best. Rest in Peace

God rest her. She was indeed a comedic legend, along with her husband of 61 years, Jerry Stiller. Another favorite role of mine that she played was the English teacher, Mrs. Sherwood, in 1980's Fame. All love and condolences to the Stiller family.

TBH, I didn't particularly enjoy her character on AMC, but I am of hers from "Archie Bunker's Place".

May God be with her and her loved ones always.

So sorry to hear Anne Meara died. I had the great pleasure of working with her on AMC. She was a real "pissa" with a beautiful heart.
