So when was Paul's conception? Before John came to Salem?

I have to disagree. I actually think the actress who plays Paul's mom is doing a good job. I've read other posters here echo your sentiment, but I just don't see it. I guess its all subjective. As for the others cast after Casey Moss, I think they've cast lots of great ones. Clyde, Serena, Eve, Paul, Xander, Aiden are all played by great actors IMO. Its just the story that messed them up to some viewers. I have to say the only two actors from Days that need work are "Will" and "Paige." Even Paige I think is good when she gets bitchy. I would love for her to take a darker turn after the reveal if they're going to keep her on.

Minus Eve, ALL those characters are duds. The casting might be OK but their characters are sh-t. They bring nothing to the show at all. Jury is still out on Xander but the rest....

That flashback was around the Possession storyline, so we saw John on screen. I can't see where Tori could've been involved with John. The only other possiblity of the priest angle is when John became a priest for the first time (before he came to Salem) which we didn't see on screen.

Could be, I wasn't watching too regularly at the time...I was a day bartender and my boss was an ABC guy...so I'm not really up on the mid 90s Days...

So Xander's father, Alexander Kiriakis, is a made up (by Tomlin/Whitesell) brother of Victor's? Victor never mentioned a brother named Alexander in the past? That's so dumb. Another dumb thing, having John hate Paul for, what, one day (Salem time) before the revelation came out? That's not a real conflict. I actually don't mind linking Paul/John but there was no story here. I know Tomlin/Whitesell hate writing for John so it's like they just reunited John/Marlena (their reunion could've been very good if done right) with no story, and gave John a new son, again with no story.

Alexander isn't made up, he has been mentioned before. That's who Justin's son is named after.

Its interesting you should mention newer fans. I think we are easier to please because we don't have that history with the show. Older fans are clamoring for what once was. But no need to feel sorry for us, were enjoying Days, and wouldn't watch if we didn't.

I think you are thinking about it too much. Paul is younger than Brady and it happened before he became a priest during the Possession story bc he's slightly older than Will. That puts this affair at sometime circa 93. Its obviously a rewrite but thats the intended timeline of things of where Tori is supposed to fit in

Just because Paul is younger than Brady, doesn't mean he was born after Brady. (re: EJ being older than the people born before him) If they're going to rewrite history, rewrite something that we didn't see on screen.

If this affair with Tori happened during that possession story, since Days was so out there during that time, its easier to accept IMO. All kinds of weird things were going on. I guess my point is if one can accept all the things that happened at that time, I guess an off screen affair with Tori isn't so far fetched.
