Arrives at Meg and Lee's as they are settling in. April 11th, Iris starts at General Hospital as a nurse on the ward. She receives a letter from the scoundrel - a married doctor that jilted her. She moved into an apartment in mid-May. Dr. Baird Roberts starts calling her, begging for her to return to Saint Louis. Iris admits her vulnerability to Baird, and declines champagne when he takes her to dinner. After much prodding from Roberts, Iris finally rejects him. But then, second thoughts abound, Iris quits the nursing job, but she learns the scoundrel had run back to his wife -causing her to start drinking . She begs Steve to give her back her job, and Meg asks Lee to broach the subject of drinking with Iris. Iris had nightmares that she may have overmedicated Dr. John Prentice. After dropping a bottle of disinfectant, Iris admits to Meg she has a problem. She promised to stop being late anymore She is assigned patient Joan Fielding, a patient whose possible diagnosis was cirrhosis of the liver. Iris identifies with Joan, and needs help when she gets sicker. Joan disappears, and Iris and Lee found common ground while searching, and declared Joan missing. Upon Joan's death, Iris began drinking while she brooded. Lee eventually convinced her to join Alcoholics Anonymous. She eventually walked away from AA, found herself having trouble drawing blood from a patient. The Baldwins took her in for the Christmas of 1967 holidays. Iris stayed on the wagon, but New Year's Eve -- not so much. 1968 finds Iris in a motel back in Kansas City in a motel. Meg finally gets in touch with Iris -- telling her that Nurse Jessie Brewer is on trial for murder. Lee has no secretary and needed help on Jessie's case. She works on the case and goes to AA with Lee. Poor Meg feels left out. Lee's brother Tom (in love with Jessie and found guilty of murder with her)-- then cleared) and Iris began dating. Time went by, and Tom grew tired of Iris working so closely with Lee. He tries to convince her to work as a nurse at the hospital again. Tom declared his love and proposed. Iris finally agreed. She asked Lee and Meg to stand up for them. Tom's anger about her job with Lee continued. As the wedding approached, she kissed Lee goodbye, accepting their mother's necklace from Tom. But the wedding day arrived, and Iris didn't show up. Missing were her suitcase and a bottle of whiskey. Iris sent a letter with two words -- "Forgive me". She returns home for her clothes and Lee was waiting. He rushed her to the hospital, where Tom diagnosed her with Bronchial Congestion. She went home withLee and Meg. (To be continued in 1969....) Polly tells Bruce she's all done with said married man; Bruce realizes that she's involved with Phil; Polly throws herself at Bruce, who lets her have it , telling her off while she's crying over Phil Denise ____ Wilton Julie Adams October 1968- ?1969 Denise is the wife of Howie Dawson's boss; Likes to bet the horses; vamps up Howie and suggests he bet on horses; gives Howie a $100.00 sure thing; she wants him to "show" his appreciation; later buys him expensive cufflinks. Ethan Lovett James Ryan 4/17/2023 -4/24/2023 Arrived on the auction block to be murdered after Victor Cassadine had taken him hostage. Rescued by Tracy for Ten million dollars because his mother Holly and Felicia bid against her. Took a flight that passed through Port Charles. Told Holly about Victor Cassadine's plans. Continued on to Australia to continue fleecing the rich to help orphanages and animal reserves. He was 8 at the time.I'm going to assume he played Jimmy Bergman as history books say Jimmy was on and then vanished for years before turning up as Stu's nephew in the early 60's. ??? Billy Gray -August 53 cast list . He would have been 14 at the time , the year before he was cast on Father Knows Best ??? A few years later they met again at General Hospital, where she was recovering just down the hall from Angie Costello. Now a school teacher, she is drawn to married Phil. She eventually married charming Dr. Ken Martin, but had an emotional relationship with Phil. Phil got a job as the doctor at her school. Eventually Phil left town.The Martins went on a cruise, which Ken told Dan Garrett while visiting King's Point (on THE YOUNG MARRIEDS). After being torn when she learned Phil was returning, their marriage ended. Cynthia went back to teaching school as Phil had found a renewed interest in his pregnant wife, Jessie. Peter continues to receive phone calls about regrets from Carol. One Lee becomes his attorney, Carol calls requesting a postponement. Peter is determined to win Meg's affection. After Scotty (Meg's son) reveals he much prefers Lee's company to Peter's. Carol arrives in town, and Meg begins to wish Peter and Carol could reunite. Peter tells Lee to charge Carol with infidelity, and she counters through attorney B. E. Norgaard to charge Peter with cruel and inhuman treatment. Peter tells Lee she's bluffing. Both Peter and Carol tell stories to reporter Harold Bender. Carol attempts suicide and the thought that she almost died causes the Lindseys to reconcile. They leave town. Carol _______ Lindsay Nancy Jeris September 9 - December 9 1966 Peter's wife, she was already a presence when she arrived in town. Having called Peter often (see Peter), Carol arrived, insisting that she wouldn't divorce Peter. She confronted Meg, referring to her as the other woman. Lee begins to represent Peter, but can't help but like Carol. Carol hires attorney B. E.Norgaard. After hearing that adultery is Peter's reason for their divorce, Norgaard counters with cruel and inhuman treatment. After her interview with Harold Bender was printed, she begged Peter for a reconciliation. She chooses against citing Meg as part of her lawsuit, she attempted suicide.
