Members NothinButAttitude
He should be happy with any material that he is given. I hate when actors have a say in story. I couldn't be head writer because half of these b*tches would be written into a corner, recast, or killed off the canvas altogether.
Members jjjg
Wonder which FOJ or Pratt's will get the role. Anyone left from Hollywood Heights? The guy who played the rock star and the guy who played his rival?
Members slick jones
Timothy Gibbs as Kyle[ with a youthful hairpiece]...Ha Ha...Kale Browne as the voice of Kyle on the telephone...Kevin McClatchley...Maybe she'll just get a mop w/ a Hartley Sawyer wig like she did with Laura on GH! Members edgeofnik
The Jack character needs to infuse more of the "John" character at this point. John was still a romantic lead (hello, Jill), but was the stabilizing force and rock for the family. Jack is played as fretting and pretty unstable. As was mentioned above, Jack should have lots of spawn out there from his playboy days. Seriously, just bring a kid around Adam's age It was still a huge mistake to kill Jack/Nikki unborn child. That kid would have permanently sealed the Jack/Victor rivalry. Now? If they are bickering, it's like old ladies out of habit.

Members Juliajms
Jack can never be that. It's simply impossible because the character doesn't have the character or the life history to back it up. If anyone in the family does it's Traci. Members slick jones
ITA...Traci is the backbone of the Abbott family. Without her, they would just be a disjointed mess. Her "Earth Mother" persona, the genuine calm she brings to the characters[even Victor] is the reason she should have a larger role on the canvas. Members ajsp35801
Tracy having a larger role would be great. However, I don't see it every happening on today's Y&R.
Members Juliajms
I'm surprised we see her as much as we do, to be honest. I wish they would let her take over the Katherine/John role full time, but I agree it's not likely.
Members cassadine1991
Didn't Griffith write for Traci and she was featured more under his regime?
Members NothinButAttitude
Somewhat. I didn't find in his writing though that he was invested in making her the town matriarch, which she should be. If anything, she's been what she is now--a sounding board for Abby and all her gossip. I want Tracy to be the real "Greek chorus" of the show and have an opinion in everything. I'd actually like to see her [and Ashley too] reach out and help Sharon. Seeing as Ashley did something somewhat similar to Sharon's recent crime, I'd like for Ashley to be tossed in her orbit and be her friend. Be a shoulder for Sharon to cry on. Members DeeeDee
As deserving as Beth Maitland is to be Y&R's new moral compass she is also 50+, a woman & larger than a size 10. She's lucky to be getting as much airtime as she is now.
Members slick jones
She is lucky, and we the viewers are lucky to have her. Since she is a size ten and over 50, Pratt will likely stop using her. I, myself hope that this doesn't happen because now that all of the Abbotts are back in town[w/Kyle no doubt on the way], I want them to stay on. A recast Abby in a few months wouldn't hurt since MO stinks up the screen [good thing she's pretty....]. Anyway, Maitland is one of their best assets, and let's hope she makes out better than Jerry Douglas........
