I think the whole thing has gotten deeply stupid and tiresome, like most of the show, but it annoys me when people fall for the fakeout. They're going to such pains to make people think it's a mask because some of us guessed it was Bill Eckert in February or March.

If those shows had stuck with ABC all along, I feel confident FV would be running all of them as a Frons-type chief executive. There are advantages and disadvantages to that. For one thing, no one would owe Erika Slezak and all the other stars a lot of fuckin' money. But the disadvantages of his approach are also myriad. I think the biggest is that those guys seem to feel that after them it's the end, to paraphrase the French - they are the alpha and omega. You can't run three unique soaps like an assembly line product, and too often now that is what GH feels like. The dramatic shifts in tone and outlook between just AMC and OLTL last year, let alone GH on TV at 3 PM were amazing to watch, and very refreshing and exciting. As a viewer, I hadn't been able to see my soaps like that in many years.

The PP soaps looked a lot nicer, IMO, and were a lot tighter and consistent in what they wanted to do. Frank would keep them on the air for a while longer - the man never says die - but beyond simple survival I feel internal quality control on every level fell down ages ago. There are good days and bad days, some good stories and a lot of bad ones, a lot of great actors, but the show itself is a mess. Part of that is budget, which I understand - they are at a red line and it's all they can do to keep their heads above water. That's not Frank's fault. But the other issue, creatively, is that they're playing to themselves, I feel, more than to the show. And there's no excuse for some of these people to still be on the show, taking up that much of the budget, if they're not playing to themselves.

Ok Im gonna call it now

Faison is the one with the mask on and in the scene with Julian. They were making the mask for Faison's face & thats why there were also semantiacs of Faisons face on that drive

However the real Fluke is the one at the Q's

He has the real Luke tied up and thats what we see

Fluke taking off Luke's gag

Anna taking of the mask reveals Faison but he's just there to throw off suscpion and Give Fluke more time

I still say fluke is Bill Eckert

    • Ann Williams was the first Maggie Powers on The Doctors but left to have a baby. Maggie was successfully recast so Ann picked up the role of Eunice (Jo's sister on Search for Tomorrow) and played that role for 10 years before being killed of in 1976. That led to her role of Margo on EON.
    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.
