No one would ever, or should ever hire VR. She's toxic. Imagine hiring her and then she bitches you out on twitter ad nauseum. She goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about how there has never been a black Executive Producer of Y&R, but, when questioned, she cannot name a black executive producer who wanted the job. She cannot name a qualified black director. She cannot name anyone. She just bitches. That's all she's got.

So, the reason there are no black producers or black directors is because there are none qualified? In the history of the show, there has never been one qualified. Even when they are bringing in interns to learn the ropes of writing, directing, and producing there has never been any black kid with a degree in a related feild? Yes, that sounds about right. That's exactly it. That's exactly why.

Well it seems like the white writers aren't qualified either!!! The ratings are also agreeing with me. So, where you got your facts from????

But BET is owned by Viacom, the same company that owns CBS.

You're right; I'd forgotten that.

VR also said that Sony was concerned that she would take some of the Y&R audience with her if she had a soap on OWN. I thought she had a point there.

So do I.

I do find it interesting that she HAS managed to work pretty steadily now that she's started looking for work. That shows that despite her speaking out people will hire her. She had that recurring role on Single Ladies, Let's Get Together, she's currently recurring on Law and Order: SVU and also made two or three small films recently. I think she'll find a good role it's just a matter of when. If she could get cast on SVU, then I do think she could end up booking a big primetime role it's just a matter of time and luck.

This pisses me off!!!! because it's not like black actors or actress get reward by not saying anything or by playing nice. They get treated just like VR get treated by her specking out. & that's what I hate most about the situation.

What you said.

Now that SVU has been renewed for a 16th season, I wonder if they will bring back VR as her judge character. She played pretty well off Raul Esparza (ADA Barba).
