I'm okay with Naomi's acting. I just miss me some Tianna!! I crack up when I see Naomi in scenes with Bryshere. She towers over him. She had some serious chemistry with Terrance.

I was trying to think of a younger actress who could really play opposite of Taraji and I'd love to see Tika Sumpter. I think those two would be soo fun together. She could play one of Lucious side pieces.

No offense to Grace Gealey at all, it's just a matter of time before someone pops up to give both ladies a little twist. Or even someone for Andre. Rhonda too needs someone else to sink those delicious claws of hers into. Maybe an old college fling or something.

In the end, I have a feeling Miss Anika is going to find out about Bunky and blackmail Lucious. It's the perfect roadblock to throw in the way of Cookie and Lucious reuniting fully. I wouldn't be surprised if Miss Anika pops out a kid or two for Lucious. It would be the perfect transition towards Cookie and Malcolm which can't happen soon enough.

Yessss to Tika. Run from Atlanta, Tika. RUN.

LOVED this last episode. Loved every second of it.

That little girl is adorable. I doubt she's Jamal's after seeing all of them bond with her (I do think there should have been a followup scene this week with her though, even though I don't mind picking up story threads episodes later ... but they're almost starting to border on too much going on). At least Michael hit the road. For good, I hope. BYE.

Courtney Love has been great. Poor Elle. I felt terrible for her but the second Anika sat down with her I was waiting for that vial to come out and YASSSS it did! Disgusting and awful to do but Anika was taken to a different level after that. I'm not sure they needed to have her do that but I'm also not hating it either.

I'm ready to see more of Andre and Rhonda. Both actors are good and I enjoyed the shower scene. I also like that Rhonda and Andre are "real" with each other (meaning they aren't using each other like I sort of worried about initially, at least with Rhonda). According to Chaiken or whatever her name is, they are solid with each other. I'm glad about that. They intrigue the hell out of me. I can't wait for Rhonda to get a real rival. Oh my.

Terrence Howard was fantastic this episode. I loved everything. Lucious collapsing, being hospitalized, torn between Anika and Cookie in different scenarios (and Anika looking PRESSED when he said "I love you Cookie" was gold) ... it was good. I thought Lucious telling his family all at the same time was nice and I enjoyed the boys surrounding him and Andre reacting how he did. I like being reminded they do love each other and will have each other's backs at the end of the day.

YAASSS Cookie, get that dick girl! I'm ready for her to pounce on Malcolm too. LOVED Cookie's speech. Absolute perfection. I'm dying to see her interact with "Yoko Ono" soon. Those scenes look delicious. I also want her to interact with Raven and Olivia. That could be good as well.

I thought Naomi did fine with what she was given. Agreed with AMS though, if it was more than what she's given I'd probably not feel the same way but they give her just enough and she does it well enough that I enjoy it and it works. I loved loved loved her reaction to bae. I hate that word so much.

What a damn good show this is. Just solid.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
