I'm torn between wanting someone (OK, Cookie) to smack that smile off Boo Boo Kitty's face and thinking that it's sweet she seems so happy. It's all going to come down to how smug she comes across in the next episode. I do feel a little more for her after that conversation she had with her mother.

I can see the comparison but I don't think it's love Andre is fighting for. It's respect and approval, IMO. It's not like Luc is pouring affection over the other 2. We learned in eppy 4 that Andre protects his father and he's doing that now. He worships him much like JR did Joc. However, Joc respected Bobby so Joc didn't have a hold over him. JR, for all his ruthlessness, was always looking for Joc's approval and Luc will forever have a hold over Andre because he's always looking for Luc's approval.

Andre is the most ignored so when he snaps, it's going to be huge.

Did you know that Joseline from Love and Hip Hop ATL was originally cast as Cookie on Empire? She filmed several scenes before getting cut for being a bit too ratchet. She wouldnt follow the script and made up her own lines. She of course was replaced by Taraji and the rest is history. With that said, here is some gifs from her lost episodes

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.

    • The Dallas finale was the highest-rated episode since October 9, 1987 (Gone with the Wind). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of Murder, She Wrote was October 23, 1987 (Tough Love). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of The Cosby Show was February 22, 1985 (Shattered Dreams).
