Marc Samuel has anti-chemistry with everyone and he clearly can't believe what he's saying! It's pretty obvious onscreen. And his schtick is so annoying. GH is full of actors and characters that are unforgivable. I think the biggest problems, the absolute biggest problems, are Felix, Levi, and Spencer.

Katie Holmes is too wooden and I don't like her acting (the only thing I ever liked her in was the movie First Daughter and that was mostly because of gorgeous Marc Blucas) but compared to Marc Samuel, she's Cate Blanchett.

I think Marc Samuel is a lot more like a male Fran Drescher/Philece Sampler/Shannon Sturges/Yvonne Zima.

I guess at least we're supposed to hate Levi, but damn does he scare me. He looks like The Undertaker had a baby with the last Casey on ATWT.

Speaking of Felix, I saw that the new SID cover teases a pairing with him and Nathan. Like... what? Why do they hate me so much? Lucas and Nathan 4eva!

If the show did make Nathan bi (which i feel is still in the relm of possibility) and he was paired with felix (provided the role was recast becuz MS is just a waste at this time) I think it could provide the character of felix much needed character growth. It could be interesting to have felix deal with a bf who swang both ways.

Wow? Well, SID is a total joke as far as I'm concerned so that's not too surprising. Unless it's SOD, then even then that wouldn't really surprise me at this point either.

I sort of feel bad for Paevey that's all they can bother to comment on. No, he's far from a great actor but he seems like a nice enough guy and to start acting and just have that be what people call him? I'd be a little upset if I were in his shoes.

I like Nathan. I can tell Ryan is trying and he's improved a bit since he started. Both the actor and character come off as very genuine to me and I can't say I've had a problem with either so far.

He and Jordan (for obvious reasons) are the least offensive newbies we've had in quite some time, probably since Ellie.

As I was saying, I think Ryan Paevey seems like a nice enough fellow and it's nice that this lousy character and his poor acting have become comedy fodder for fans, but an endearing RL persona and unintentional comedy fodder does not a main character make. His pairing with Maxie is lame, he can't act, his backstory and that whole storyline is godawful. The only thing he's good for, IMO, is to back up the cops and be Anna's next conquest. That's it. But they're trying to set him up as a major new male lead, and I just can't get behind that in any way. I cannot deal with him being on three days a week in some storyline.

I dont think that NP has it any worst than any newbie from the fans. But its kind of taking it to extreme when the soap magazines calls him Sexypants. They wouldnt dare go there if it was an actress would they?

NP certainly looks good but if he didnt would they refer to him as Dtv Uglypants?

I think RP is okay and certainly watchable as long as they don't give him any dramatic material (which is kind of a problem since he's on a soap opera). These past few weeks when he's just been a cop and having scenes with Maxie and what not he's been okay and seems to be improving, but when they give him heavy stuff like the Nina storyline? Awful. Like a few weeks ago we had those scenes with him and Madeline in jail where he was shouting about how Nina liked to dance and run and ride horses and YOU TOOK THAT AWAY FROM HER MADELINE!!! Terrible. I'm afraid we're going to be in for a lot of cringeworthy "emotional" stuff from him when Nina shows up soon.

I mostly just think she's so annoying, offensive, and obnoxious. She's not talentless but I think she has just about the most grating acting style possible. I was naming actresses that I think are horrible and very offputting at the same time. The other three I listed, for instance, are horrible and very offputting/unlikable at the same time.

Anyway, Paevey is still too wooden. If he's not given a lot and doesn't have to do much emoting, he's not too bad. I think he's stopped using the cue cards but he's still so hollow and lost. He looks good and has a nice body but that's about it. Actually, maybe he works out a bit too much!

Detective Sexypants?! Sounds like those teen girls with overinflated egos thinking they're some kind of local celebrity who wear glittery hot pink. Ugh!

I don't know what it takes for horrific actors to get fired or leave these days. A long time ago atrocious actors took a hike immediately and were never on daytime ever again. Charity Rahmer (Belle, DAYS); Ken Kenitzer (Kevin, OLTL); Hunter Garner (Billy Ross, ATWT); Javier Morga (Tico Santi, OLTL). And many others too! But today it seems like the worse you are the more likely you are to stay around and keep getting work even if your acting is almost universally hated.

Maybe you should ask Justin Gaston, matthewson. He seems to have figured what it take (or doesnt) to get fired on the spot

The worst actress on GH was and will forever be J robin miller who was so horrible i never understood why they picked her to take over as Lydia Karenin (nik's mail-order bride) and while her stint was far too long for my taste she only last a couple of months.

I will say NP is indeed improving from his cue-card reading days but even up against the awfulness of Levi Nathan is still just a ok character.

He should have done the whoopy with Britt before he found out they were related.
