I feel so bad for Jordan. I don't like TJ but he's easier to deal with when he's away from the other even twittier tweens. I really like Jordan and TJ as mother and son.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I think Laura Wright is becoming as annoyed and bored by Roger as I am.

"Do you think you can put away a criminal for the rest of his life? Or are you too tied up with another man's wife?" Ha! Anna's finally showing some wit. Scott's reaction was too funny.

I don't GAF what Luke's or notLuke's big mission is. This OMGTHEEVUL mystery is so boring and tedious. And could Geary be any more lethargic?

Scott is so goofy. It's kind of endearing. I can't take Bobbie seriously either cause of all the work Zeman's clearly had done but it's strangely endearing too.

I'm starting to love Julian. DeVry is gorgeous! Maybe it helps that I hate Sonny and Ava so much. Too bad DeVry keeps shilling for Shatner, UGH!!!!!

Carly might as well give it to Sonny. Then Sonny and Ava can kill each other. But that's just a nice dream.

The confrontation with Lucy and Kevin was the most engaging part by far. I feel bad for Lucy but I'm glad Kevin said all that to her instead of sugarcoating it. And I love Lucy (mostly I just love Lynn Herring) but she's not too bright. She really can't believe that all Kevin wants now is the divorce?!

It's funny how Maura West and Kristen Alderson are tv mother and daughter since they're both reminding me more and more of godawful Yvonne Zima. Oh dear lord, I think I just gave RC his next new 'vixen'....

Since the year started, Franco and Carly have solved the Heather mystery, the murder of AJ and now Connie's murder. What the hell is the point of Anna and her PCPD? Even Sam was instrumental in solving the Nina case since the cops were barking up the wrong tree

Exactly. It defeats the point of even having characters working for the PCPD when you have Carly, Franco, and Sam solving all the mysteries. Had they stumbled upon the truth of one of the mysteries then OK. But it's nerve wrecking that these two keep solving mysteries like they're Scooby Doo crew.

But I find this to be a recurring issue on all the soaps (minus B&B as they rarely have murder mysteries & don't have contractual police characters)--soap characters doing detective work. Like leave it to the "professionals" on this show and give the non-law enforcement character REAL jobs, so they won't do this type of work.

But I'm just waiting for the day when RC drops the word "jenkies" in Carly's dialogue.

It's just ridiculous. I think Ron needs viewers to know that when these reveals or scandals happen, they are HUGE and LIFE-CHANGING (because he wrote them). This is like Monica losing her job over AJ being on trial for murder. And you notice this happens mostly to the recurring people we barely see. Obrecht could probably take a dump in every hospital bed and she'd still keep her job.

That's because Frank and Ron don't think her [!@#$%^&*] stinks.

Monica losing her job over A.J.'s trial made No. [!@#$%^&*]. Sense. But if you call Ron out on illogical plot twists such as those, what's his reaction? "Whatevs, h8ers gonna h8te, and you can't just win with some peeps."

He's taken this show so deep into camp that I don't even look for logic. You might as well just bang your head against a wall. All I can do is enjoy the parts of the show that I like, on their own terms. For example, I do like Dr. O. I find the actress fun and talented. Do I think that her presence on the show makes any bloody sense? No, I don't.

I really think OLTL was more reality based than GH is at this point. I guess I've made peace with the idea that I can either find things to enjoy or tune out. I'm not ready to give up quite yet, although if GH were cancelled I wouldn't be crying any rivers.

It's so hard to like Lucy. She's so thirsty for attention and the twitching, while kind of endearing, is annoying as hell. I can be overdramatic and a diva too but at least I'm aware of it. Lucy doesn't really have any self awareness at all. I can't believe she was so shocked that Kevin wanted a divorce. It's fine that she's upset, that's one thing, but she just doesn't have any self awareness.

RC clearly doesn't care about Kevin. I'm surprised he hasn't had Jon Lindstrom fired.

I think some of the people on GH are deliberately being wooden so they don't have too much energy. If they do, RC would turn their characters into bad camp imitations of the fabulous Joan Crawford! But I still think it works with Kathleen Gati and Obrecht. The fact that she is STILL the COS after taking the baby, shooting Liz, trying to kill other people, among other things, is so absurd that it goes all the way back to being awesome!

Does it bother anyone else that TJ keeps yelling at his mother for being a drug dealer but couldn't care less that Shawn is in the damn mob with that bastard Sonny?

Who cares about Connie's death? I still don't buy that Ava could successfully kill someone. She has such an overinflated ego. And Sonny thinks he's so much better than everyone, yet he cared about Connie and was impressed by Ava. So gross!

Because TJ being upset with Shawn doesn't fit Ron's current agenda, so it gets brushed aside that Shawn also works for the mob. Granted, Sonny's a joke.

And Ron needs to stop dismissing valid complaints about missing story beats or having them off-camera. It's not just 'haters hating'.

I agree that he's taken it into deep camp and there's just no point looking for logic anymore. Sad but true.

This.

I have thought that Jordan is undercover from the very beginning...she seemed like she was trying to say something to TJ; then she goes "its not like that.

Seeing my girl with Ric still makes my stomach curdle...how can you give this man who abused you a chance esp after being married twice after they showed a semblance of character growth they got her looking stupid again...

So the cliffhanger is Carly about to tell Stumpy about Ava shooting Connie dun dun dun....some of these arcs need to come to an end for a minute.

Tracy please, I can't take it somebody figure FauxLuke out. Where' LuLu when you need her?

IA that JZ has done a corrective procedure or something because she looks different in the The Bay she plays the mayor' wife its those overly puffy built up cheeks its like if you stick a pin in them they'll go pop!

Bobbie and Leslie were my favs back in the day so its hard to see her with the reworked face. I'm surprised but I'm enjoying the Lucy/Scotty/Kevin triangle. I'm surprised Lucy thinks they can just carry on though. I had to FF through Carly/Franco I just couldn't take it ... I tried though.

Do the writers and EPs of "The Good Wife" categorically dismiss viewers' concerns? From what I have heard, they care very much how viewers feel about their show. So much so that, in one case, they dropped a planned story arc after a few episodes because of the viewers. I don't follow the show, so I don't know whether I have all the facts straight -- and I'm not saying I endorse wholeheartedly this method of writing and/or producing a series since I've spoken in a different thread of my admiration for the late Bill Bell's stick-to-your-guns style of storytelling -- but I bring this up to make this point: you have everyone and their invalid grandmother praising TGW as one of the best, if not the best, series right now on TV; and yet, even with all that acclaim from critics and viewers alike, those people are not so high on themselves that they're unwilling to listen when viewers think they are heading in the wrong direction.

    • Nope, we had taste, even in the 90s, and the richest family in town throwing a wedding at an amusement park was never cool. But, isn't funny that they're all back in Florida, but nobody mentions this is where Reva went nuts and drove off a bridge.  It seems like it might trigger some memories.
    • My rationalization (for whatever its worth) is that I'll give a pass to a character who has both been recast and is now written by a different staff (again, I'm under the assumptive that we all know right from wrong). One doubts the current writers want EJ to be a rapist, Julie to be prejudice, Philip to have one leg, or Xander to be a kidnapper.  But, that's what they inherited.  These are characters that resonate with the demo.  And, by soap justice standards, all evildoers receive justice, but doesn't always mean jail.
    • I’m up to May 16, 1996. Lucy/A-M are getting married and they were holding this big secret for weeks on where the location was… all to find out it’s going to be an ad for Universal Studios haha.  Probably was fun back in the 90s, but a bit cheesy looking back now. Although they were on a boat alone, at night, reminiscing about Brent, and A-M promised a tearful Lucy that “the worst is over, there is nothing to be afraid of anymore”… and right after, freaking JAWS comes out of the water to attack them on the ride. LOL. I’ve actually been on that ride and it was as scary in person as it was watching it, but that scene ended up being very cheesy given how serious it was supposed to be. Rick being there in Florida with everyone makes zero sense considering he doesn’t hang out with any of these people, but he’s clearly there because Phillip has shown up. Very plot-driven, but at least I’m getting old flashbacks of Rick/Phillip during this. But yeah, outside of the nuptials, this wedding and the Universal Studios trip (ad) turned out to be more about Phillip than anything. Skulking around in the Frankenstein costume, listening to everyone’s conversations about him, was… interesting. Rick dancing in the street by himself, while the other couples danced together, was pretty funny though. The nuptials were beautiful and I loved seeing A-M/Lucy finally get married. I loved how they mentioned Nadine a few times throughout, but especially during their nuptials. It was a nice touch. I still can’t believe Nick, Susan, Bridget and David weren’t there. I really love the Amanda/Alex rivalry. The digs they make at each other are so funny to me. Dinah and Roger have gone off the deep end with their hatred for each other. She’s making him think he’s going crazy by dressing up as Hart’s mother, gaslighting him into thinking untrue things. Now, he’s putting a drug in her drinks that should make her hallucinate and be psychotic. They both want each other dead, and I can’t imagine they’ll ever come back from this. Blake is now pregnant with twins, and the fear is that Rick is the father, or Rick and Ross are both fathers by split parentage between the twins. I don’t hate this storyline because it’s unique and also possible, which I didn’t realize until I googled it.  The storyline has been on pause for a bit while Rick is in Florida for the wedding, so I’m curious to see where this goes. Annie/Josh have also been on pause a bit given that Reva/Buzz/Alan are all in Florida. I’m sure when Reva gets back home, Josh will continue to lust after her while Annie grows more uneasy. Holly delivered Meg, their child with down syndrome, and she and Fletcher have had a rollercoaster of emotions about it, but overall pretty ‘slow’ and boring here. If I liked Fletcher more, I might care more. I found it really weird that Ben randomly decided to move away and go to boarding school because he felt like he’d be in the way, and Fletcher didn’t really seem to have a big problem with it. Seems more like the writers just didn’t want to deal with him and Meg together. Viviane just confided in Holly that Griffin is Gilly’s father, just as Griffin and Gilly held hands/locked eyes at the diner. Viviane is now trying to seduce Griffin, in hopes that it will make them stay apart. This whole storyline is gross. They’re really going to let a father/daughter get romantic before they know their true relations? And instead of just telling Gilly the truth, Viviane would rather try to cheat on her husband again with Griffin and ‘compete’ with her? This is awful. I’m also losing interest in Dahlia and Marcus. He just told her the truth about her mother, which upset Frank and got Marcus in deeper trouble. But yeah, I’m not really that invested in their budding relationship, especially since she’s still in high school. Oh and they just introduced cell phones on the show and it’s hilarious.  Blake pulls out her cell phone and answers with “Hi, I’m on my CELL phone”. “Yeah, I have a CELL phone” - it’s so funny. They finally updated the opening on May 2, 1996!  Which only covers half the cast, which tells me they will hopefully/finally have two separate openings. It was always weird to me that they could remove someone from the opening quickly, but never add someone new at the same time. The opening was getting so old that half of it was stock images that replaced people that left the show (Nadine, Eleni, Eve, Nick, Mindy, David, Tangie and then some shirtless guy I never could tell who it was). Reva has been on the show for over a year now and she was never in the opening until just now with the update. I can’t believe they let it go that long! Oh same with Annie and Dinah - both were on the show for like 16-17 months before they finally got in the opening.
    • Actually.. I thought she restored Katie back to her more fun loving/self deprecating spirit after being watered down by Marland.  Even the actress that played Katie puts the blame more on Gail Kobe than Long.   I think I understood what she was trying to do with Nola.. but it didn't work.  She was trying to write a character that gets her happily ever after with the man she loves... but struggles with the reality of living in real world after getting her happy ending.  However, the way she went about it was all wrong. Trish, she wisely made the peacemaker of the Lewis family.. though I could understand the actress probably growing restless with being the pragmatic peacemaker by 1985. Unpopular opinion:  I actually think Beth should have stayed dead.  I think it made his embracing of the dark side of Spaulding more realistic once she was dead.. and as we saw, it did affect his relationship with Chelsea during that period.

    • This makes me want to skip ahead, as you know we both share that huge fondness for Kate. You just unlocked a core memory of how much James Scott would start blinking at times

. I genuinely enjoy Dan so much, I really don’t think about James Scott anymore except when the rape story came up because I vividly remember the scenes.
    • I agree with all of this except I loved Leslie with Jacob. It was the old Leslie to me. She was so soft in her scenes with NuTed on Friday, I preferred the return to form.
    • Charmed and Party of Five didn't do too good with the diverse concept...  I doubt 7th Heaven will either. Perhaps maybe do a diverse show about a female minister and her husband and call it something other than 7th Heaven.  I know it's going out on a limb to actually come up with something different and to title it differently.
    • The writers need to reign in Vanessa' character... I can see the actress is trying to reign in the character.. but the writing isn't helping her in her quest. Dani has been going on and on and on about being insecure since the end of her marriage for 55 episodes.. and I'm sick of it.  She's in bed with a younger attractive man and she won't shut up about her insecurities.  I want to tell Andre that the sex isn't worth being tied to this emotional vampire.  No wonder Bill cheated on her (and I do sometimes side with the cheater). I'm really hoping Derek/Ashley are breaking up soon because she's been a total witch and he can do so much better.  Have him in another scene with Hayley or even a 1:1 with Shanice.     I think that's a Danielle Paige quirk.  Her novels are all about symbolism, and she did say that Claire Labine mentored her at Guiding Light.
    • The wonderful Sarah Buxton returns as Morgan DeWitt tomorrow in the S18 YouTube episodes. Shame she didn’t get a longer stint.
