And what about that young Courtney, who took a demotion to make Noah more secure. I know IRL women give up on dreams and careers they love for men. I have seen it first hand with many womem I know. But I never understood it and never will especially since they almost always live to regret it. I hope the writers have a SL planned for them around this issue or I will be very disappointed. Courtney making choices based on Noah needs to be adressed.

I also get the feeling that with Moses coming to town, Neil will try Hilary. That's so right up his alley.

He's a young man and she is a pretty girl. I see nothing untoward about him being eager to spend time with her.

Yeah. But I think it's a setup too. Austin's connected with Ian in some way. I'd bet on it.

I loved Chloe's farewell. I did the ugly cry. I sense another recast coming. Or maybe Chloe will have Billy's child off screen and we won't see him or her until they're a teen. I'm seeing traces of Cray with Kelly. The way she snapped when she learned Jack was taking the red eye to London was a wee bit OTT. I've had about enough of Ian and his sooper dooper sekrit. I'm past ready for it to come out but I know we have to wait for Austin's role in Ian's diabolical plan to be revealed, for Paul and Chris to get pregnant and various and sundry other stars to become aligned.

It's rather pathetic. Bottom line is that it makes Courtney seem like a gold digger who'll do anything to keep her rich boyfriend. This is a huge contrast to the character's hardworking, middle class background. Even though she is completely unbelievable as a cop, she still had to earn her way into a profession that overwhelmingly male dominated - she should be tougher than that. ITA that they need to have someone or something cause her to have a wake-up call. It's one of the most disappointing story beats. How about having her stand-up to Noah and having her respect her as an equal for her professional choices?

The one thing that is twerking my nerve is Chelsea badgering Victoria, putting her on the spot about telling Billy when she has made it more than clear why....'she doesn't know who the father is"

Yet here is Chelsea all superior going on and on about his right to know...please sit down, give it a rest. Its clearly not your business. Its like they had nothing else for her to do so she's put in this story as the meddler...I'm glad they addressed her deceit w/Dylan yet she comes up with some weak come back...Victoria is probably in a high risk pregnancy her bullying isn't helping Grrrr. I want to reach in the screen and smack her!

CW's Kelly - raw, grieving her son, former kindergarten teacher

CM's Kelly - polished, cultured, giddy

Nothing in between. From an apple to a filet mignon. Just. Ridiculous. No respect for Y&R or the fans on the part of anyone who was responsible for this.

I don't see her as a gold digger. But then I don't see Noah as some young scion of one of the wealthy houses of Genoa City either. He seems far more blue collar than Courtney. I just think she is a young, naive, girl who wants things to work with her boyfriend. Money doesn't come into play. Probably because it doesn't come into play for Noah..

It's a real shame. When Nick was his age, he and Sharon were leading the show practically...running off Heather Tom.

Cady McClain does A LOT of interviews in the soap press so I'm hoping that in a couple of months somebody will ask her, girl, what happened to the dark, neurotic character you were tapped to play?

Instead they're turning her into the frail, comedic damsel in distress that accompanies Jack to see loud action movies. mad.gif

I'm still seeing that, but it's a lot more subtle. CW was pretty heavy handed with Kelly's neurosis. I think Cady is playing it more like Kelly is just tightly wound and could possibly snap. And I expect she will when Phyliss is revealed to be alive.
