True. And gay men in this particular case. And that assessment is coming from a gay man.

A lot of this ends up being middle-aged women. That's how it was with Big Brother and how it seems to be with soaps.

I just find it hard to believe that it is majority 30's/40's/50's doing this stuff. Where do they find the time?

I believe it. Look at who attends soap fan events. I have yet to see photos from any big soap fan event that was not dominated by a bunch of middle-aged women. For the record, I don't think of 30s as middle-aged. As to where they find the time, where does anyone find the time for obsessive fandom? I assume this is a big hobby, and they spent their non-working time on it. Personally I don't really understand going halfway across the country to a fan event, but people find the time and money to do it.

That is true.

I didn't say all.

It is true. Just go on the Y&R FB page and take at look at some of the profiles of the people that are posting. Big Brother is the same way over their favorite contestants and couples (real and imagine).

That creature in the basement was no spring chicken!

I stand corrected. Convinced. They are older women. But Don Diamont though. How could they not care. Heck I am in my 30's and would have happily bone him. But maybe that's because I have been watching this show forever and still see him as I did when I was 13. LOL.

I see my point was made for me. Besides most teenagers are either in school or skipping school to do other things like not raising money to fly banners over soaps.

I find it sad that it's mostly middle aged women. Most of them are mothers. It's disgusting!

Oh naw...I still think Lane fans are young'uns. And I do know that teens do participate in fandoms. Maybe not soaps so much as those shows on the CW and MTV. Tumblr is cesspool.

I still can't believe that Muhney's wife still hasn't slapped divorce papers on him.

If that was my husband. I'd kick him in the nuts hard and then get a lawyer to draw up the papers.

Most young'uns I know who see Y&R, care about Noah, Courtney, Fenmore, Summer and some of the vet characters their parents and grandparents also loved

This wasn't a discussion about CW or MTV shows which are targeted at teens...

I don't know any young'uns that care about those characters. They did care about Billy/Victoria and Adam/Chelsea. That's where I got my original point of reference.

Okay...because I thought someone wrote that teens and young adults don't participate in fandoms...that they are not interested.

I assume you're referring to someone else as I've never even used the term "fandom."
