RC would ruin DAYS. Camp or not, those two shouldn't come near this show EVER.

You think DAYS tapes too far and too fast in advance now? Wait 'til Frank Valentini takes charge! I guarantee the man would have material in the can for DAYS's 100th anniversary, whether or not NBC actually lets the show live that long.

Well when u go from a deader then doornail should have been cancelled 2012 to a huge hot blaze of fire with fantastic ratings. This year they deserve it. Last year was a little premature.

The only thing I agree with in this statement is the show should have been cancelled in 2012. Instead we now have this huge, hot, steaming pile of dung.

IMO, anyone that can make DAYS LOOK better is a good idea (watched an episode from the Ed Scott era today, boy do I miss this show looking good), but Carlivati can take his 'writing' and shove it. I'll stick with TomSell, thanks.

We already had a Carlivati-type of writer on DAYS, Hogan Sheffer, and it was a disaster.

No, I'm saying that quality or not at the moment, DAYS is uniquely suited to a certain type of storytelling, often very broad, often fantastical, and Ron and Frank's OLTL and GH have become increasingly wedded to that kind of style and material.

I think this stopped being true around 2008. But that wouldn't stop writers with such an agenda and it would be sad to watch the show regress after all the progress it has made to get away from that.

None of those people were ever on contract. GH/Frank/Ron just used them as a smoke screen for the 50th Anniversary, when in reality they were never given any long-term purpose.

Claire would bring back Character driven family, adventure & love stories. ABC doesn't want that. She would hire actors that can act. Their acting acting ability would be shinning thru. ABC doesn't want that. They want himbos and bimbos that if they can't act, will look good in no shirt or tight pants

GH looks like ass.

But slightly more interesting ass than DAYS (except at night, DAYS looks pretty damned good at night, at least). I always look at GH and see 'doing a lot with a little'. Some sets look very 'setty', but I don't find it looks too bad.
