Another Y&R actor out??

Where exactly did this horseshit about Braeden and Maura West come from? I never believed that. Eric Braeden is a lot of things, but I've never had a peep about that man doing anything like that. He's of the old school.

The GH story is very old and very, very vague on details and I don't feel like recounting it. It's out there. It had to do with some of his scene partners being made uncomfortable. Alison Sweeney, Lisa Rinna, Kristian Alfonso, Jensen Buchanan, maybe Lisa Peluso, the list of people allegedly having issues with RKK goes on and on.

I'm not saying Eric Braeden is a saint, far from it. I'm saying that that story has no basis in reality, much like 99% of the crazier [!@#$%^&*] Nelson Branco comes up with. If you believe Doug Davidson assaulted him I have a bridge to sell you. And you're still not telling me where exactly this Maura West claim came from.

Vee, Nelson tweeted after interviewing MM that a Y&R actor had his love interest fired when she refused to sleep with him. Then when the interview was posted and Muhney brought Maura West and Eric Braeden into it, people assumed thats who Nelson was talking about. The implication seemed pretty obvious to me, but now Nelson says that's not who he was talking about and that the actress was later re-hired on Y&R.

All I'm saying is I find everything Nelson Branco's ever said to be extremely suspect. He's not well, IMO, and he's beyond out on the fringe of the already very fringe soap press now and everyone knows it. It makes a lot of sense that he's the only one who will go near Muhney if something like this rumor is true. DC might have if Logan hadn't warned them off; they're that immature and foolish, but only Branco is truly crazy.

If it is true, then in Branco's mind what he brought up is obviously a rationalization and passive-aggressive apologia for Muhney's behavior.

Jill always repped for RKK with similar allegations, so the mention of that pinged my radar. I can see her doing that again; she's no friend to women, IMO. I can see her thinking they could "settle it internally." But it's hard to know whether that's the case here and she was a fan of Muhney, or whether ultimately whatever happened served her purposes. She wasted no time letting Miller walk when he thought he could use the show as an ATM. But she loves some men and doesn't care for others.

Well she must've known the huge commotion this would cause. I'm sure everybody did. There was no way to handle it, so they just shut up for the most part and ultimately, he has buried himself. I'm glad they didn't speak sooner, because once word truly gets out of what he did, he'll have done this himself. He should've shut up and said he was leaving for storyline dictated reasons and go quietly and classy.

The answer is that he doesn't keep getting hired by "anyone". He keeps getting hired by Jill Farren Phelps. And now Frank Valentini, but he was only on two or three days.

And in short doses, as Stavros, he is admittedly very effective. (Jill had originally planned for Stavros to be on the show long-term when she hired RKK in 2001, which was an utterly insane idea for both story and IRL reasons IMO.) Perhaps if/when he is brought back next, they can install an invisible glass partition for scenes featuring Stavros and human women.

I found it really distasteful when some of the online press were saying people just needed to suck it up about RKK and GH needed to put him on contract. It's not like any of this is news. I think he is very, very good in the role but I can't honestly say that he belongs on a contract after all the stories that precede him.

    • I liked when Felicia was over the top and was more Felicia the writer than Felicia the mother figure. Personal taste as always. For me, Felicia was AW to me. She was one of the few constants on a show that was constantly changing.  RIP Denise Alexander. I always liked her on the show despite her storyline never reaching its full potential. The sad thing is I would watch that storyline in a second over so much of what happened on AW from 1986 onwards. Strangely, youtube recommended a AW episode to me last night that involved Mary comforting Scott about Dawn. I really do wish they had found a way to make those two characters work long term.

    • Yes, I like him too. He is a good actor, and I agree with your comments about his personality. I also want to add, I think that he comes across as realistic and IMO sane. Yeah, he's done some bad things, but he seems pretty in control for the most part and not the least bit crazy. I appreciate that type of behavior in someone who can behave like a villain. And I continue to buy that he really does love his daughters. Unlike Leslie who seems to only use and mistreat Eva, I have seen Bill soften when it comes to his daughters. And I do believe he would do what he felt he had to do to protect them. His love for his children, helps make him more layered as a character. I really enjoyed his scenes with Dani today. I enjoyed the show today. I thought that the scenes with Nicole being comforted by both her parents including them switching out to comfort her were sweet and cute. I particularly enjoyed her scenes with Vernon. I love her relationship with her parents. I also liked Tomas/Eva scenes. He genuinely seems to care about her, and I am interested in seeing how things will play out between them and him and Kat.
    • Dani really got on my nerves. Her own life is a total disaster, yet she interferes with everyone else's. What could she possibly say to Ted that will change anything? That will help anyone? And as you said, while she bashes Bill, she wants him back -- all the while knowing who he is and who he's been for years. None of these scenes are pushing me to appreciate Dani. -- OTOH, Bill got some very good shots in at Dani. He won that face-off. -- June is just a ball of cliches and stereotypes to this point. I hope this goes somewhere. -- Martin flies off the handle much too easily, but I did appreciate that he grew calm and subdued, and even sad, with Ted. -- I'm glad Tomas is pretty, because damn, that acting. -- I'm glad Derek looks so good in tight jeans, because damn, that acting. -- LMAO at Leslie gaining entrance to Nicole's house because Nicole wanted the front door ajar so Door Dash could leave her takeout.

    • No, we would really do it.  Those pix were so famous! In early May 1970 Susan introduced Doug Williams to Julie. Her intent was evil. But, it backfired on her. Doug & Julie fell in love. Everyone knows the rest of this story.
    • Doesn't matter if its off topic. No need to point it out. Things will get back on topic soon enough. They always do . . . And I do love the off topic photos from the Bill Bell era!  So thanks.

Thank you. I didn't realize there was confusion. You cleared it up.  It is more than crazy that this whole conversation is off-topic.
    • Sure!  And we promise, Mr Corday -- we will ridicule those wonderful old episodes daily on social media.   NOT!
    • "To give her child a name" just means to make the child legitimate and be able to take the father's surname.
