October 11, 201312 yr Member Once Upon A Time in Wonderland debuted to disappointing numbers last night. How long have they struggled with timeslot? About 5 years? I think it's time for them to move Grey's to 8, put Scandal on at 9 so it can be the lead-in for another show. Scandal is one of the hottest shows on television and I think their numbers would actually improve with an earlier timeslot.
October 11, 201312 yr Member They ruined things by getting rid of Ugly Betty before that show needed to go. It was getting good ratings before they pulled it.
October 11, 201312 yr Member ABC hasn't had a hit series in the 8pm Thursday time slot since Welcome Back Kotter...lol

GREY'S is still dominant in 18-49 demographic. SCANDAL has had its best ratings yet. Besides, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't get any more BJ or Fitz/Olivia anal sex scenes at 9 pm. Better not mess with that.
October 11, 201312 yr Member We'll see how it goes, I'm not surprised most things did bad at 8 p. last night because of Glee's CM/Finn Tribute. So I'm curious to see how the numbers are in Week 2, they're Sunday nights are the worse than Thursdays at 8 p. IMO.
October 11, 201312 yr Member Did Dynasty air on Wednesdays or Thursdays? "Winzdee nite!" as my mother would fondly say. The Colbys was on Thursday like Knots, and Dynasty moved to Thursday the last year it was on.
October 11, 201312 yr Member Is it really the time slot that's the problem, or is it that OUATIW might feel like more of the same (after OUAT, "Grimm," "Sleepy Hollow," etc.) to viewers?

I mean, I'm tired of OUAT already and I'm only halfway through Season 1. It seems overkill to give it a spin-off.

I think Sunday nights for the big 4 are a huge problem. basic cable and football dominate that. But in general, the big four are suffering bc of the viewing changes and many more people tuning to basic cable and stuff like that.

Even though admittedly the first episodes of Betty's final season were TERRIBLE but they got they act together halfway through that season.
