"African-American, Hispanic, or East Indian." Because they all look the same, right, DAYS? dry.png

Please! Daniel's chest hairs will get more airtime than all of the minority cast members combined!

Unbelievable!

They may as well have said, "DAYS is looking for a gorgeous 17 to 18-year old generically brown girl..."

...named "Mary Beth." rolleyes.gif

I haven't heard the name Mary Beth since the 90s. And it certainly wasn't the name for anyone black, east indian or latino. Nice to see all people of color are alike at DAYS. RME

Next thing you know, DAYS will be casting for a Japanese, Samoan or Inuit male to play "Spencer."

I just figured she was named after Mary Beth Evans. Just like Y&R's Laura Flannery was obviously named after Susan and her DOOL character. Would have been nice if they named her Renee or Tanya, though.

I dont think Laura Flannery was named after Susan I think it was just a coincidence. The current regime has no ties to Susan to name a character as a homage to her.

Hopefully Mary Beth is just a bad fake casting name and not the character's real name

yeah it does sound like an amagalm of the character she played on Days and her real name

Wow, you guys are super-fast with criticism for a simple casting call. What this reads to me is a "Non-white person, whomever impresses us the most, ethnicity doesn't matter so long as they aren't Caucasian, and we are using the name 'Mary Beth' in our casting script". Chill.
