I loved Sam and Lily and hated when he got the shaft for Jonathan. I'd take the character back

In other news, the sun came up this morning.

What a shocker to see the comments on that article - the usual sneer whenever an actor comes out, and my favorite, someone saying he was coming out to get acting work. Yes, he's been a complete flop since leaving AMC.

Oh, he's done quite well on Broadway. I just wish he'd take his clothes off more.

Good for him. I knew he was older when he was on AMC, but I didn't realize he would now be in his early 30s. Yikes. He still looks extremely young, though.

Good for him. Not surprised at all though lol

I did actually expect it to be about Jonathan Bennett ...

I remember him as Sam, hate how they barely did ANYTHING.with him same with Maddie when.they got SORASed..

Congrats to him..

Concerning Jonathan Bennett, it will come out eventually

Wha? I guess he finally made a statement, but it's absolutely no secret in the Broadway community that he was gay. I'm confused--I mean he's been photographed kissing his bf at stage premiers for BraodwayWorld and other sites.

*edit* Oh nevermind, I read the link finally. Still I think DConfidential has it wrong--he's mentioned various boyfriends, etc, before. I think he's a huge talent but there's no way he's gonna give up the stage with the huge career trajectory he has going on there, especially for a soap opera--and he was unceremoniously dropped from AMC way back, which at the time I thought was a huge mistake--I liked him as the angry Sam, and connecting with Lily.

Oh, AMC wasted him horribly. He was great.

I guess after Eva LaRue left they saw NO use for her kids and Anita and Julia being there after did nothing

Absolutely--similar to an other rising stage talent, my beloved Rock Ripcord more recently.

I just am sick of the media claiming that something like this is a star coming out--because in this case, he was always out. Daytime Confidential, I guess, just didn't know because they don't read theater interviews unless they're in OUT.

Not surprised. But Congrats to him. I didn't know he was 32. Damn he has a babyface.

I personally think as a GAY man, coming out is becoming overrated and not necessary. As long as I'm tending to mines, not harming anyone, and leaving everyone else's alone then what I do, and who I do it with between my four walls is my business.

Now if the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Morris Chestnutt, Joe Manganiello, Charlie Hunnam, Tom Hardy, etc decide to swing this way, I'll embrace them with open arms and possibly legs. LMAO! J/K.
