GH50: September 2013 DIscussion

His hating the material is irrelevant. The guy is just a shitty actor and always was. Everyone else on the show gets the same writing: Britt, Brad and Felix get the same writing and they manage.

Everyone gets poor writing, but there are those who choose not to commit to it. Doesn't make them bad actors. Bad professionals? Absolutely, but not bad actors. JT is very good at this craft, but unfortunately, he chooses not to put his heart and soul into his current story. I can say "I can't blame him", but in the end, he's an actor and it's his job to sell the "writer's" vision no matter how shitty!

I agree. He's always been weak, but IMO, it's less of a sin to be a shitty actor than to be someone who gets paid $100,000 + to play act and then chooses not to show up. There's no excuse for that type of bad behavior and I don't think JT is guilty of it.

They got rid of them?!

Boo, they were unused opening footage from the previous opening, I don't think they were gonna keep using them with their chinsy ass cardboard cutout opening

I think it was a "revenue generating" move. Space that didn't add value was removed and more commercial space - even if it was 8 damn seconds!

Oh I don't doubt it! The bumpers and the opening being cut probably saved time for a 30 second spot.

As much as it did save "revenue" I did like seeing them especially the ones from 1999-2003, but I loved all of them till the ones from 2010/2011.. The last ones OLTL did were pretty cool they seemed to be designed for the character featured

I watched part of todays episode for the first time in like two months I think. I'm amazed that ME is still collecting a paycheck for playing John McBain under yet another name. I won't even comment on Starr.

The momentum this show had going left rather quickly. Today was just awful. Way too much WTF going on!

Not even worth a breakdown :(

The sight of Michael Easton as Michael Easton alias John McBain, Caleb Morley, Steven Clay and Silas Clay makes me physically ill! There is absolutely no reason he should still be employed (outside of periodically flashing Craptini).

And yet people are ranting against Jason Thompson, whom I have no opinion of one way or the other. But when you have a show with such sleepwalking talents as Kelly Monacco, Michael Easton, and Maurice Bernard I find myself scratching my head at the criticisms of his performances.
