Members EricMontreal22
I am still mostly enjoying the show, but I admit the whole Eric thing is kinda hard to watch. If this were a female rape victim, would they play out endless dreams of her vaguely remembering the sex.

Members Juliajms
They must know. People have been hating them for well over a year. I LOVE Ann Milbaur. She is just effing awesome. I feel bad for Rafe and I like CS's low key introduction as his physical therapist. This drug story is interesting. I don't remember a soap ever having so much drug use. It's really weird hearing Hope talk about "blow" and having JJ be a drug dealer. Usually on soaps that's something only throw away characters do. Members beebs
Seriously, they HAVE to have made the connection by now, not to mention the fact that the ratings clearly fell the weeks they were wrapping up Chloe's last story. I just don't understand why they insist we care about them when I've only ever seen a few weirdos on Facebook root for them. It's bizarre.
Members will81
The character of Anne makes me think the writers know how the audience feel or at the very least don't like the couple either. Anne is not a one note bitch and lately I haven't seen her put in her place by other characters shipping for Dannifer (JJ only defended his mother, which Anne rebutted quite well) She is too observant and needn't be if the writers didn't want the flaws of those characters pointed out. If you are shipping a couple you don't have another character pointing out their flaws all the time, or you negate that by making someone like Anne unlikeable or jealous. It is one thing to have a character never at work for storyline purposes, it is quite another to add a character who is observant (like the tv viewers) of said behaviour and makes a case out of it. Just seems odd to me to do this if not on purpose.
Members SouthOfSoap
Tuesday and Wednesday were a chore to watch. Daniel overload. I feel MR has softened out her performance to be less harpy allowing me to empathize with her. Casey Moss seems to bring out the best in her. Conversely, SC has regressed in his portrayal and the it seems the writers want to play up his shitasticness. He was really superbitchy to Nicole despite all she has done to help him and try make ammends. I actually enjoyed Kristen buttering him up because she doesn't give a [!@#$%^&*] about Dannifer but she knows it helps in having them on her side. Delicious sociopathic behaviour. Sami whinges and cries too much and replays the same scene everyday but I won't complain because at least she is in a story that doesn't involve a triangle. This story started off great but seems to have lost its fizz - I guess it will pick up in sweeps. However, if she sells EJ down the river, I feel like we have been there, done that a zillion times. It's quite amazing how much Camilla Banus has grown as an actress - Blake Beris really rubbed off on her.
Members SouthOfSoap
I think Bruce Evans and his focus groups are forcing the writers to keep him on the frontburner and this is their passive agressive response.
Members Cheap21
Im glad Sami told EJ about Melinda's offer. She had me thinking she was going to sell EJ out right then and there and I thought how dumb of her considering he knows what Will did. But then she proved she's not a complete dummy as she asked to get him immunity Daniel and Jennifer broke up YET AGAIN. Seriously, how many times can we watch this scene play out? After today Im with you guys in being convinced that Chad is lying about the severity of his condition. Lying about dying for Abby...is she even worth that? I liked her eye makeup today Everytime I see this woman, I think Cee U Next Tuesday Is Days airing on Labor Day? I like that its not being treated like an afterschool special which alot of soaps tend to do when it comes to teens and drugs

Members jo.frank88
I agree with several of you.. I think the writers TOTALLY know how we feel about Danifer and Daniel in general. I think its obvious Anne is "us." We are the character of Anne. That's why we love her so much! As much as I hate Danifer - I think there is truth to the philosophy of keeping the fans engaged and passionate.. in this case "passionate" equals hating the character and storyline.. which I think is never good.. but at least we do have Anne's representation as our voice. I still wish the hairy monkey would just be off my screen.
Members EricMontreal22
You must have missed Passanante's brilliant era at AMC where we constantly had all those teens doing E for what seemed like months at the boathouse. Granted most of them were quickly disposable characters like Marcus (who I think was left in a coma when Passanante ran away from the show amidst rumours of her imminent firing...) aside from JR and peripherally Bianca and, I believe Rosa. And as someone who at the time was pretty into the--for lack of a better word--rave scene myself, it of course was utter crap (Or howabout Timmy doing acid on AMC--all I remember though is a Christmas carol singing lamp-post and some accident, like with JR and the E.) But I do get your point and I think by soap standards they are doing it with some reality. I actually appreciate that even the peripheral characters like JJ's friend who looks like he came out of the grunge era actually showing some empathy for JJ's situation and isn't completely one dimensional. Members jo.frank88
Thoughts on the week that was.. 1) First and only time I'll mention them.. WAYYYY too much Danifer this week. We've already established that the characters works best (notice I don't say well.. just "best") as a SUPPORTING actor and NOT driving story. I can't handle watching them break up/get back together again. 2) Loved Kristen's comment of adding some prison orange to Sami's outfit in the portrait. 3) I really appreciate and enjoy the spirituality aspect of the show. Good vs. evil and themes of God's love and redemption and refreshing.. especially when soaps often shy away from this. IMO it's what makes for great soap.. just as every good story must come full circle with drama, passion, sin, forgiveness, and redemption.. Days is doing this well right now. LOVED Eric/Nicole's scenes with Lizbeth, the dying woman in the hospital. So touching and emotional and well acted. 4) Really liking Nicole/JJ interaction. I hope these two keep it up and become friends. 5) Loved Sami/EJ scenes on Friday. Ali and James play off each other so well. It's amazing chemistry. So much passion. I also loved earlier in the week when Sami spoke into the recorder and said "My name is Samantha Gene Brady" 6) Sami's comment that "In 5 years Sydney will have just started school." WHAT!?! Sydney was born in 2009 (or was it 2008?) She should be starting school in the next year... is this a case of de-sorasing here? 7) Blake and Camilla work off each other really well too.. I really enjoy the Nick/Gabi interaction. They click well. 8) Lastly, Victor/Marlena working together for the common good, someone they both care about, Brady.. awesome! I really want to see both of these (but especially Dee Hall) in more episodes, especially while Eileen is still on screen. Happy Labor Day weekend all!
