I smell a John recast in the future. They could have made things a bit more final but today just opened things up to revisit him in the future. Unless he is killed off, I think he could show up by fall to be honest

Would they dare, though? A lot of the John McB fan base were simply housewives that loved Easton (look at his Facebook fan page...they're all over Silas/Caleb/etc. as long as it's him). I know even Slezak was a Viki recast, but in this day and age....

I don't see this going well- I think the rabid Jolie fans were mostly rabid ME fans. Its not like every other Natalie pairing tanked- I liked the start of her and Cristian and her with Jared. I wish they'd leave John in the past.

I don't care about fanbases. John McBain is not an unrecastable role. OLTL has recast plenty of iconic roles in the past and McBain isn't even an iconic character.

Hey why not? Part of the problem with John is that they wrote him like he was 30 something instead of 40 something. This is the show's chance to pull a James Bond and reset him to the age they want him to be.
