Honey you NAILED it! Bravo! I remember watching that whole story live. I liked Scotty and Laura a lot but when this newly permed neerdowell stepped in the heat was too much to resist. I still love them all these years later. I've thought for awhile that this was all a set up tp repeat the circumstances surrounding LnL first getting together. Back then Laura was the one denying her feelings. After years of Guza's crap a day like yesterday was a drink of sweet tea for me! It was fab. Laura even said she wished Luke well, which is the same thing she said when they broke up in 1980. wub.png

I agree while I liked Nikolas and Elizabeth even the first time I knew they would get writing against them; I'm somewhat enjoying this time around; I dont have a problem with sleezy affairs on a soap opera between brothers-in-law, sister-in law and all that but NiZ didn't have much of a story except a build up for Lucky to find out, for the longest time they were banging with little to no dialog as to why...

finally Elizabeth goes how she doesn't feel passionate about Lucky and that its the safest route for her family...For me, she's been dealing with her past these last three years she's been cautious & hasn't had sex also speaking in dialog repeatedly about the mistakes she's made

but she's always done that practically from the time she first came on as a rebel. Her talks with Jason starting from on the docks as a teen was usually about putting her self down and putting Lucky first. Not sure about her self-esteem during the Ric marriage x2 I didn't see much of that.

I thought Ellie was Lauren. Maybe they are twins separated at birth. Or maybe there was a switch

Ugh to this MW creature on my screen. I HATE the way she talks. So annoying

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
