TNT revived Dallas why can't it revive ATWT and GL??

Well, I've always believed "The Golden Girls" was a daytime soap opera deep down. Does that count?

I've always felt P&G should've tried to get Hallmark to do TV movies for ATWT and GL characters and if one of them clicked it would be an easy way to develop a primetime series. As it stands, they use so many soap stars for their movies, so why not?

How would those shows mesh with the established TNT brand? The Hallmark idea is better, except it would have to be more folksy and no weird stuff. Maybe they could redo the soap books...

Frankly, I wouldn't mind if Hallmark mandated a more conservative, back-to-basics approach for whichever soaps they chose to revive. The "weird stuff" is what killed AS THE WORLD TURNS and GUIDING LIGHT in the first place.

Tangent----why is there never any love for Falcon Crest? Granted, it was never the cultural icon Dallas was, but in some ways, I enjoyed it more. There were nights the combination of shirtless Lorenzo Lamas and Billy Moses left me in a puddle of drool.
