February 22, 201312 yr Member Maybe he'll show up just do die! I am seriously weirded out that only GH & Y&R have this obsession with just randomly killing off characters. B&B thankfully doesn't do that, neither does Days (that stupid Stalker story excluded). I just don't see the point in bringing on someone fans liked to murder them, or to just axe a character by killing them without any sort of big story surrounding it. Unless your last name is Logan.

FRon's treatment of black characters [and the fact that with these 2 idiots, no one is really who we think they are if they played another character elsewhere] tells me Jamal is already dead. Jamal was really Stan, Piph's son! See how easy that was? Edited February 22, 201312 yr by ChitHappens
February 22, 201312 yr Member Please don't give them any ideas about killing Jamal off screen. As I am concerned he is somewhere out there happy and alive.
February 22, 201312 yr Member Put me down as another Allison and Jamal fan. Kiko Ellsworth was a dreamboat too, which always helps. But yes, I loved their chemistry much moreso than Allison and Rafe. Glad she'll be back next week!
February 23, 201312 yr Member Jamal never stood a chance once Rafe ccame into the picture. Hell I still swoon when I watch those promos for Port Charles Secrets on YouTube.... Rafe & Allison were just perfect together.....Jamal was as boring as watching paint dry when compared to how hot Rafe was. So is Allison returning to life or just as ghost for a few episodes? Sorry the original post is a little unclear. And I'd love to have Rafe back if possible....
February 23, 201312 yr Member Jamal never stood a chance once Rafe ccame into the picture. Unfortunately that seemed to mostly be based on race.
February 23, 201312 yr Member Unfortunately that seemed to mostly be based on race. See, I did not want to go there, but there was that undercurrent at the time.
February 23, 201312 yr Member Allison/Jamal >>>> Rafe/Allison. I was a PC fan but after awhile got turned off and I loved Allison/Jamal.
February 23, 201312 yr Member See, I did not want to go there, but there was that undercurrent at the time. Considering that Jack (one of the dullest driftwoods ever on a soap) got heavy story for years after that, I couldn't come to any other conclusion.

Sorry the original post is a little unclear. And I'd love to have Rafe back if possible.... of course Jamal didn't stand at chance, this is daytime and its whitewashed. It certainly wasn't because Rafe and Alison had an amazing chemistry. Can anyone name one successful interracial couple? Hot Rafe, with no acting chomps.....at all.
February 26, 201312 yr Member I actually don't think Jamal's dismissal and break up with Allison was based on race. Rafe and Allison had a huge following, to the point where they were Port Charles driving force after Tainted Love. They were the most popular couple Port Charles created until Livvie and Caleb were (re)united. Brian Gaskill was also seen to be a pretty huge commodity at the time. He was a fan favorite from All My Children, and he was considered a big casting coup (similar to Micheal Easton) at the time, and so the soap tried to find a place for him and that happened with Alison. Say what you will about him but I don't think PC could have lasted as long as it did without Rafe, he pretty much drove story for three or four arcs and provided tons of material for PC. Considering that Jack (one of the dullest driftwoods ever on a soap) got heavy story for years after that, I couldn't come to any other conclusion. That was mostly because he was basically Kelly Monaco's assigned acting partner. Jack didn't really get much in terms of profiling or story as a central character on his own. The best he got was his back story with Chris. Edited February 26, 201312 yr by Skin
