As much as I don't want it to be the case if its truly over for both shows just say it is over already. I have been one of their staunchest supporters but I am so over all of the rumors and speculation. PP doesn't owe us anything but the truth finally and then people like me can move on and have some type of resolution one way or the other.

Pretty much. Nobody held SOD's feet to the fire for reporting that AMC would begin production in October.

Also I find it funny that the anti PP people just blame them. PP's job was to produce the soaps. They had no control to force folks to watch. So if its truly a bottom line and there werent enough eyeballs to sustain the monies and continue the shows, then fans have to take part of the responsibility for the shows maybe not returning.

I need Jonathan to come in here like the sun and cover up all this SHADE being thrown at La Lucci/Erica right now. Y'all can get out with that!! tongue.pngsad.png

Bright as the sun! A few of the posters in here deserve a triple slap and a hair toss.

Ok lets look at the timetable: 1) SW tweets shows over. 2) Michael Logan Tweets Is PP shelving AMC Too. However, neither of them mention that staffers were told. Then the staffer writes it was fun while it lasted. Then SOD runs the story combining all three stories. So maybe the staffer didnt hear from PP but saw the ML tweet

Well, sure, but at the same time, fans watch what interests them. If they were AMC fans because they wanted to see Erica, Kendall, Liza, Tad, etc. then nuAMC didn't offer them much. Maybe they stuck with it and watched the whole season, or maybe they got bored and tuned out. If they wanted to watch AMC to see "Minx" then they were sorely disappointed - I saw some fans on another site saying "Well, I guess there's no point in watching if Marissa is dead."

So yes, you can place some "blame" on the fans for not watching - just as you can when ABC canceled AMC after sagging ratings - but if someone isn't watching because they aren't interested in what is shown, then that's a problem with the story as well.

Right not saying PP aint blamekess but if there werent enough viewers that is out of PP's control

I dunno. I got the feeling that the people watching or not watching AMC online had little to do with who was on the show, honestly. It was either they were willing to switch over to the new format, or not. If Tad and Erica were on I suspect more people would initially have tuned in, but I don't think ultimately the numbers would have been all that different.

Yeah maybe there werent enough fans willing to stick with the change that is Hulu & Itunes

Awesome post skiman. You read my mind. Honestly it will be April 2011 when ABC announced cancellation of the shows and then their final shows airing in September 2011 and January 2012. Then the whole PP thing announced and then suspended and then brought back. As I said I have my memories and I can watch classic episodes anytime. OLTL was my childhood show it was very painful to say goodbye in 2012 much easier this time around. AMC just I was hit and miss its last 10 years. These shows will live on in TV heaven. They might be gone but never forgotten. PP is downright cruel for just not announcing this. I thought this whole lawsuit BS was baloney. I have a feeling its going to get dismissed in court now. ABC has top level attorneys against a small entity.

It is all very sad, but to their credit PP tried, which is more than ABC can say. Maybe it will take a few years more for people to embrace online viewing in sustainable numbers.

Its this damn entitlement some fans have that PP has to tell us of all they plan to do and that is BS.

None of what they say is believed so why put that out there

When there is something to say, they will. Until then I look at it as no news is good news

Some fans have said this is how I would have handled it & I would have done X Y & Z. However how can anyone say that for certain? There is so much to these productions that we have no idea about.

Yes sometime its fun to play soap exec but we have np clue what their daily job was like. Some soap fans seem to think or least it comes across as they feel its easy, when in fact its probably one of the hardest jobs to do in this business.
